I believe that if we trade for Noah we along with the Knicks both lose the ability to stretch our own players that we signed...
i.e... I think we keep deng unless we can trade him for an expiring contract because we might stretch him next offseason
if we get noah then it eats into our max slot next offseason without the ability to stretch him...
pretty sure this is the case... someone correct me if I'm wrong |

Deng and Noah have 2 years remaining, but Noah makes about a million more. Doesn’t make sense to trade for him, especially if we are considering stretch provision since Deng has a smaller impact.
I’d trade Deng for Mozgov only because stretching Mozgov’s contract would have a smaller impact to the salary cap. |
