Interesting. But no, and don't see why Cavs would do that.

Imo no team is gonna trade us an allstar without demanding a package centered around BI, Kuzma or both.

I don't think teams value Kuz over BI. IMO they probably value the team's assets:

1. BI
2. Lonzo (not for everyone, thanks Dad Ball).
3. Kuz
4. Hart

I tend to agree with this, but i put Kuzma as #2 valued by most simply because of the potential drama that comes with Lonzo

That's true. But I'm still a Lonzo believer so the harder it is to trade him the better for me.

they would not unless Dan Gilbert was extremely high on Lonzo or BI

No reason for Cleveland to do that they’re already aiming for Zion

The thought of Zion standing in the corner while JC takes 30 shots a game ISO'd up.

I’m hoping Zion goes to ATL, Trae/Zion can put the Hawks into the conversation of being a EC powerhouse in a few years, they deserve a winning team.

I think functionally I would have Hart over Kuz too. But perception wise, seems like Kuz is really hyped in the media.

Regardless, for 27th and 30th pick, we are getting tremendous value out of them.

Wiz and Minny should talk.

Do a
Beal or Wall plus what ever and take Butler and Wiggins.
Crazy yeah I know but that would be one way to blow it up for both teams.

I would do BI plus what ever for $ for Beal or BI plaus what ever for Klay

I agree about the media hype, but that’s a natural by-product of being a streaky scorer and being a guy who makes the highlight shows with dunks. But if we are talking about how other teams rate players, I bet you would find a interesting split of opinion. At this moment in league history, the most prized commodity is three point shooting. A guy who is shooting .455 from three, and who shoots a lot of threes, is a valuable commodity. How would other teams rate him compared to a guy like Kuzma?

On your second point, the three guys picked ahead of Kuzma and the two guys picked between Kuzma and Hart have played less than 500 minutes. Combined.

^Tony Bradley is a project player. He's due for a breakout year.

Derrick White just got hurt. Otherwise, he would be starting at point guard for the Spurs. Everyone who paid attention to the Pro League know Derrick White is legit.

I don't think "500 minutes or less" minutes played is a good standard, when teams have different ways of how they want to develop their rookies and different roster construction.

Both Bradley and White would get serious PT if either or both were drafted as Laker players in 2017.

I rarely come on LG anymore. But just want to take this opportunity to express my admiration for your scouting back then on LeVert who has exploded onto the scene

I hope Kawhi is playing coy because it sure doesn't seem he wants to be on the Lakers.

Rockets look broken.

They got the Spurs, Nuggets, Warriors in 3 of the next 4, and they play the Pacers on a back to back after the Spurs game. Could lose all four.

Should have never given CP3 that extension.. last year was there only chance at a title in the CP3 era and had they won it maybe they would have had more momentum this year, but again it is still way to early.

I'm done predicting what these guys are going to do after the George situation. However, I can totally see Kawhi wanting to be the guy because he is that good. Ship out LeBron for Zion.

So in the last few years, we were not attractive to the free agents because we don’t have any star on our roster. Now, we have an all time great all star and then we are still not attractive to free agents? Human beings are complicated.

Ever since West joined as a consultant, they have been making pretty good moves. I think they will land one Max FA. Their draft pick SGA is legit.

On another note, it looks like Stauskas is only a superstar who makes 3s against the Lakers.

Cleveland has seen the difference between having a superstar and not having a superstar.

Neither Ball or Ingram are projecting to be a superstar, so I would think they will take their chances with a high pick in the 2019 draft and they will hope that they get lucky.

You have to take into consideration salary here.

Lonzo next year will make $8.2m. Kuzma and Hart will each make $1.9m.

If the Lakers are trying to create a win-now roster, Hart and Kuzma are more valuable commodities given their impact at their salary.
