Totally agree.
Guessing they're testing out new formats and using ratings/social media as their judge of whether or not they're successful. They used to do it infrequently, and upped the frequency the past two years.
Personally, I'm ok mixing some of these players in the "booth" with real commentators together, but a full on players only format has been horrible to watch.

Agreed. I used to really like fan night on NBA TV it was just enough of those type of former-player personalities but it was still focused on the game. Players Only is unwatchable. The amount of incessant talking and multiple people trying to talk all at once and just talk at a talk talk talk the whole damn game. It’s bananas.
