The guy is dominating in New Orleans. Putting up 25 pts and more, 10+ rebs every time I see their box score.
Someone explain it to me..is he legit? Finally coming along? Right place, right time? Empty stats, shouldnt look too much into it? Which one is it?

With D'Lo's emergence and now Okafor balling as well, seems like there's a bit of a redemption theme to that draft class. It was the draft class of 2014 or 2015 IIRC?
Anyway...explain Jah to me.

I thought he was done and he couldnt play his style in todays NBA etc...so whats going on?

Not just Philly, Nets didn't think much of him either after the trade last season. Haven't seen him play for NO. Main problem at Philly and Nets was that he was such a net negative as he couldn't protect the rim at all and he couldn't contribute on offense unless he became a ball stopper. He was an average rebounder as well. If he can bring in energy on most night and become a bit more versatile as a scorer, he could have value as a bench scoring option like Kanter. Looked like he was about to be out of the league and he's putting up numbers on a losing team still so I wouldn't pay him big money this summer as he could return to not caring enough after securing a longterm deal.

The more I watch Zu, the more I think he is similar to Okafor. Good hands and a good around the basket game, but too damn slow and becomes a liability on defense. These are guys that would be good in the 80's or 90's, but they don't fit in today's game.

He's been on a nice 8-game run where he's done about 18-10. The Pelicans have gone 2-6 during the run. From what I've heard, his defense has improved some, but it's still pretty bad. I don't know that he can start on a good team, but he'll stick in the league as an OK backup

Yes.... except... Zu is a legit 7, and he defends the rim pretty nicely.

He could get numbers even as a rookie, that was never the problem.
