not true. i have been into their realgm and reddit forum and most there thinks levert is their best player.

Wait, RealGM/Reddit is the objective arbiter of facts?

Crazy stat... At age 22, D’Angelo Russell is the youngest player to hit 500 three-pointers in NBA history.

The Nets wanted D’Angelo Russell to buy in defensively. Have at it:

Among 89 players who have averaged 30.0+ mpg since Jan. 1.,
Russell’s defensive rating (103.7) is eighth-best in the NBA, trailing only Lonzo Ball and Donovan Mitchell among guards.

I will say their view is more objective than the view here because Russell is a former Laker player. Brooklyn fans actually love Russel. But still they think Levert is the best player and i agree.

That perception on realgm has shifted quite a bit since early season. Caris has some catching up to do if he wants to outshine the Net's lone all star. There are a few hold outs like you, but even they have been pretty quiet recently. Russell, Levert, and Dinwiddie are a very nice complement of guards and they are 22, 24, and 25 years old. The Nets are going to be a fun team for quite a few years if they can avoid the injury bug.

Current Levert(rusty from injury) is not better than Russel. But prior to the injury, Levert is their best player. If he can regain his form, Levert will take over Russell as their best player.

So sad how strongly you cling to that hope. Fwiw, levert wasn’t going to be an all Star at the level he was playing.

Honestly, think he would have if he continued. And he may become their best player. Their FO definitely holds him the highest.

That’s no slight at Dlo. I just think Caris can be better.

But once again it should never be a X vs. Y thing. They work great together.

Clearly just anway to diminish what he’s doing this season.

Before the injury, many thinks that Levert is turning into a star( or maybe an all star).

Before the injury, this season, Levert in 29 minutes has 18 ppg and 48 fg% . That is an impressive stat. He also has 2 buzzer beater wins.

What I love about DLO:

Struggling from the field, but still playing good and orchestrating the offense.
Becoming such a great player!

Levert was playing better than Russell early in the year, as was Dinwiddie. But the tear Russell is on for the last month and a half to two months is better than either was playing.

Lol I'm subscribed to r/GoNets on reddit, and I don't think there's a Levert over D'Lo consensus at this point. Prior to his injury, you could have made that argument. But D'Lo's play the past two months has surpassed what Levert was doing in that opening stretch of the season.
