How do the Rockets keep adding players? They brought T. Jones back and signed some guy from the G League and Capela is back and Faried is still there, the numbers don't add up.
OAN, after the Rockets game Bron said we got who we got and I'm happy with our team. That is not verbatim but I'm really beginning to wonder if we add anyone else.
To your point emplay, I don't see how this benefits DJ. Lets say the Knicks are able to attach a pick to get rid of Lance Thomas' contract, they still owe about $35m to all their young players, cap holds (including stretch provision for Joakim Noah) and their incoming lottery pick.
To max KD and Kyrie hypothetically, that will cost about $70m (~37 for KD, ~33 for Kyrie). So that should give them about $5m to keep DJ. I can't see him staying on board for that.
Will love if DJ realizes this, gets fed up with the losing, talks to Lebron's people behind the scenes and requests a buyout to join the Lakers!! I think that will position us for a deep run in the playoffs. His presence could potentially propel us to the 7th seed or higher.
I would be willing to keep him an extra year if we strike out on Kawhi and maybe.. Jimmy Butler. Mentally, I have conceded signing Klay, KD and to some extent, Kyrie.
It's really not up to DJ though _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus
Emplay, any new leads on guys who may actually be bought out in time b/f 3/1 to join a playoff roster? _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
Lebron is the only buyout candidate I see, be gone LeQueenJames
On a serious note since we probably cant get rid of Lebron, Gortat is the only buyout candidate that I really want, he would be a great addition to this squad.
But I think the line to join the Warriors will be long. But Lakers could provide a lot of exposure for a center who wants to actually play. Right now the Warriors are going to get Boogie into shape and Dray will likely close games so not much playing time. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

Yeah, I think the Lakers offer a better fit for DJ and he'd be back in LA. At this point we need to sure up out defense more than anything.

His defense has slipped mightily. But I would happily take him right now.
He'd be one of our best FT shooters. Imagine that. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

I know, but having a trio of tall, mostly athletic, big men, who can move in and out of rotations is not a bad thing to have. Especially if the alternative is just adding a wing player who can score but not play any D.

Oh I'd take him in a heartbeat.
Just don't expect the DAJ from 2015. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

What's the deadline for buy outs and eligiblity to play in the playoffs, after signing as a free agent? I read somewhere that it is March 1st.
I believe players need to be waived by today at 11:59 PM if they want to be eligible for the playoffs. _________________ “You can't be held captive by the fear of failure or the fear of what people may say.” - Kobe Bryant
