Idk, he was wrong about the 3rd team being Boston. He said it was Hawks.

The Celtics being mentioned is good. Pretty clearly a bluff IMO. With Kyrie leaving, doesn't make sense to trade their young guys to be a middling team in the East.

I wonder who these "high-level players" the Pelicans are looking at for the #4 pick? If has to be someone with at least 2 years left on their deal, I assume. Detectives start looking at good players with 3-4 years left.

And if teams are offering up great players for #4 straight up, would we look at that ourselves?

Who cares lol be pissed while we celebrate winning again. Myopic fans don’t know what it takes to win just want to have fun watching draft picks lose 😂😂😂😂

There shouldn’t be a need to give up the farm. It’s a one year deal without many suitors for a player with injury history. One hard fall and LA just dumped the whole young core for another lottery team.

LA should be able to walk out of this with Ingram or Zo. If they MUST perhaps Kuzma but something else should be coming back to LA then

I think that's too optimistic. If we keep, Zo, BI or Kuz....it's a good deal.

No, it would then be a FAIR deal. NOP is asking for way too much. The ball is not in their court. I don't get why we have been fooled into thinking giving up that much for AD is correct. Look at similar trades demands of superstars with 1-2 years left on their deal:

Kawhi Leonard
Paul George
Jimmy Butler
Dwight Howard
Kevin Garnett
Kevin Love

No one has ever given up as much as people expecting us to give up for AD.

We just watched him average 13.4 PPG in the playoffs slashing 43.5%/41.4%/85% and was +39 combined across all games. Redick's shooting is still incredibly valuable and has the added benefit of spacing the floor for driving lanes.

Just want to know if it's time to get that AD's Lakers jersey or get super hyped about the #4 pick.

Celtics and Lakers are engaged in trade talks with New Orleans on All-NBA star Anthony Davis, league sources tell me,

. Lakers No. 4 pick has been discussed as trade chip to help Pels acquire high-level player in multi-team deals.

Objective. Vague.

That is actually informative.
Seems like N.O. doesn't think anyone at the #4 spot is worth it.
And they want the Lakers to try to get an all-star type with it.

It makes sense why Washington and Beal are being talked about by fans. But not sure about why the ATL is. Unless Washington also doesn't think much of #4 and want ATL's #8 and #10 to be involved.

This leak is almost assuredly a leverage move by the Pelicans through Woj to turn up the heat on the Lakers.

Lakers FO is so dumb. They are only bidding against themselves and have all the leverage yet trading away everything. People think this is NBA 2k, this trade will blow up in our face. Please Jeanie sell the team so we can hire real basketball minds

I’m pretty shocked the Spurs haven’t jumped in as the 3rd team, they don’t want DeRozen and DeRozen can help keep the Pelicans afloat in the WC.

Boston has been undeterred in pursuing Davis -- despite his agent insisting AD would be a 2020 flight risk in free agency. For Boston, Davis could still be its best case to keep Kyrie Irving.

Yup. We have the best package available even without putting in both BI and Zo. Tell NOP to kick rocks if they don't like it. We move our attention towards free agency and then look for a trade down the line if another star becomes available. Too bad our FO is run by emotional morons

Per Woj. Boston trying to get him too.

Celtics as the third team? Some of you have pretty bad reading comprehension.

Boston is trying to trade for AD, obviously. In what world would Ainge let Kyrie slip away AND help the Lakers get Davis?

C'mon now.

what all star would want to be Zion's place holder? Youd get all the blame and none of the credit. They are better off with a bunch of young assets that they can groom loyalty out of.

So my first lookover - looking at lotto teams who may want to trade an established player for the #4.

Cavs - Love. Perhaps Griff likes him and thinks he'd provide leadership??
Wizards - Beal. They'd have to add more to #4.
Pistons - Griffin?? Drummond??
Spurs - Derozan??
Thunder - Steven Adams??
Rockets - Capela?? CP3??

Struggling to see it...

That’s what it feels like. He is not going to give up Tatum or Brown imo.
