Crowder but I'd also strongly consider cutting someone for Crabbe
However, neither are getting bought out so its kind of a moot point.... no? |
Since when does moot point matter to IG? |
there is nothing to talk about besides the NBA schedule, I just wanted to know who you guys prefer. |

I know we're pretty focused on the upcoming season already but just wanted to throw out a name I'd like our front office to consider for training camp - Justin Patton. Our current roster is pretty much set unless there is a buyout for a vet that can help us in the playoffs. This guy is a former 16th overall pick just a couple of years ago..didn't really get a shot in Minnesota due to injuries and is now getting healthy. 7 footer with long arms, runs the floor well, developing shooter and still young at 22 years of age. Would be nice to have a reclamation project like him in the G-league at least |

Did he ever get healthy? Feels like he ended up on the wrong team for his development. |

Rank all the players in the all-Predator lookalike team top to bottom.
Choices in alphabetical order:
Demarre Carroll, Jae Crowder, Kenneth Faried, Nene Hilario, Taurean Prince _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

Hard to judge his health. The guy is 22 and has had three surgeries on his foot in the past two years. He broke his foot a second time last Sept, and was out until this March He played 11 games in the g league, coming off the bench and playing limited minutes.
At this point, he's beyond a reclamation project since he really hasn't done anything to reclaim. He came into the league as a project, and given his injury history, age, and inability to stay on the court, he hasn't generated enough interest to even get a camp invite this year. I think he'll have to go to the g league as a player who is not affiliated to any NBA team and really show something before any team makes an investment in him. |

not having 1 single perimeter creator will cost us the championship. |

Beasley is getting a paycheck with Detroit. Probably a very limited chance at getting a championship ring. Possibly vague/hazy promises were given on playing time and importance in the rotation.
Melo could be more picky/demanding about being a key rotation player on a true contender rather than being on a fringe team like the Pistons. |

Wouldn't quite go to that extreme, but I would definitely think that will prove to be a huge weakness, especially if LeBron was suffer an injury that would keep him out 2 weeks or more. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. Disagree. I could definitely see it being a huge but not solely the reason we don't win a championship this year, especially in year 1 of this group. |

Yeah, comparing Beasley and Carmelo is apples to oranges. Beasley is a vet minimum guy who will go to any team that will take him. Carmelo wants to have a key role on a contender. |

Don't forget Bald Mamba for most improved player. Cousins and AD can also generate their own offense. It doesn't always have to be from the perimeter. |

Can we include Turiaf in the Predator hall of fame? I think he did it best, by far. |

Quote: | The Los Angeles Lakers have signed guard Demetrius Jackson, it was announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.
Drafted 45th overall in the 2016 NBA Draft, Jackson averaged 3.7 points and 6.5 minutes in six games for Philadelphia last season. The Notre Dame alum, who also spent time with the Celtics and Rockets, averaged 19.4 points, 7.4 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals in eight games last season for the Delaware Blue Coats of the NBA G League. |

It still feels weird to not click on Official Brandon Ingram thread first whenever I log onto LakersGround. Also feels weird not having any posters that I think are completely wrong about a certain topic.
Goes to show, being invested in a certain thing really can get addicting. I've came on LG like three times since the trade went down. _________________ “Life is too short. You have to keep it moving.” - Kobe |

He is 6' 1" and 200 lbs, so not enough size to be a combo guard.
Seems too fringe for the last roster spot and would be fourth PG type behind Bradley, Rondo and Caruso. Probably a training camp invite with maybe a G-League destiny. |

i really dont get this...
Lebron is still the best triple threat creator in the league
Rondo and Caruso are playmaking guards
AD is a MVP level player who can create his shot from the perimeter
and we have 2 legit third option/6th man scoring threats with Cousins and Kuz
and look at the raptors they just won a championship with an over the hill Lowry as basically their only playmaker with Kawhi playing iso ball _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

Kobe was our only perimeter creator in our past few championships. We did ok. So I'm not too worried as long as Lebron stays healthy.
Also, off the bench, I'd consider Bradley as a decent perimeter creator for the upcoming team. He did well in a limited run with the Grizzlies last year. _________________ “God knew they couldn’t be on this Earth without each other. Training camp deal.
Exhibit 10 deal, which would allow the Lakers to waive him and then sign him to their G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, with a bonus of up to $50k _________________ Formerly OC Lakerfan
