Wrong. Look at the title of the thread. It seems pretty clear to me that you see and hear that which follows your preconceived notions.
Are you serious? I am confident everyone that read my response understood I did not really believe you at one time supported slavery and wigs.

just realized I described the Democratic Party from Andrew Jackson to Barack Obama....
I'll give you Andrew Jackson, the darling of Republicans today, and Pierce, Buchanan and Johnson, as they acted more like Republicans of today.
At least you understood the point....people that claimed that party long before our days supported some crappy stuff.....and the party of today does not support those items.

As I am reading the heading, it empathizes what "YOU" thought was popular and thus embraced.
That being the case . . . ugh.
so you did not like those items at one time....most of them I did. I liked my Snuggie on cool days watching TV. Auto-tune once sounded cool. Car phones were bad ass when I got my drivers license...as were bag phones. I definitely rocked some silk and denim shirts in my early teens. Could not get enough Jamz shorts when I was around 7 years old....and a hot female with a body piercing made me want in my early to mid 20's. When I was 16 years old....the 2 15" JL Audio's behind my seat, and bandpass box in the bed of my truck would make your house vibrate. In my early 20's, I loved clubs, the music and the beautiful young women in them. Croc's were great beach shoes, but were ruined by people trying to make them more than that...and in the 80's, I wanted to biggest boom box that I could lift. I use to like Trucks with big lift kits, but now find them tacky but a simple 3" lift can do wonders. I am an ass guy....always will be but at some point we crossed the line. I definitely loved my Guess overalls in Junior High...one strapped, or even no straps on some days. Never was into gym classes, but I did like chicks with big hair in the 80's. I originally hated the IPhone because it killed my Palm Pilot and everyone wanted to be as cool as Don Johnson in the 80's.
you ruined it.....Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Pretty in Pink, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Some Kind of Wonderful.....all classics of a generation.
Wonderful and Pink were the same movie. I'm convinced. The protagonist is just of the opposite sex in either one. Interesting Stoltz in his 4th movie as a high schooler (Ridgemont High, The Wild Life, and Mask the others) and they had to pull him from Back To The Future halfway in because he wasn't believable as a HSer. Huh?! And he looked like he could've been Crispin Glover's son. And he was Lea Thompson's love interest in both The Wild Life and Some Kind Of Wonderful, which would've made BTTF even more incestuous than it tried to be.
Stoltz wasn't recast because he didn't look like a teenager. He was recast because his acting style was the opposite of what the role of Marty needed. He couldn't bring the comedic spark that the role required - something even he acknowledged.

Cracked Rear View is still one of my favorite albums. It's a shame Darius Rucker got the country music bug in him. I tried to embrace it but I just couldn't. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant

bowling - every now and then I miss it and put it into the hat for ideas on a free evening, but then I remember what it feels like after getting through the first game.

I still love Hootie's music...and I also love Rucker as a solo country singer. How can you not like this....

Fast food.
There's a couple chains I still like, but ever since I graduated from college I've gradually started not liking fast food anymore, especially McDonald's. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers

Yeah I actually like bowling, but I rarely do it anymore because my fingers always feel like crap the next day, just very sore. That's not good when you play tennis like I do.
