KAT must be the smartest player in the league.

Can't match the IQ of AC Green that's for sure.

Dang, another potential 2021 FA off the board.

Kuz officially ruled out for opening night. He's now been out with injury for two months since leaving Team USA and the team has not given any expectation as to when he might return.

Seems like it's a pretty serious injury from these limited facts.

Its pretty clear that this is an era of hold guys out for as long as possible even if the injury is insignificant. Especially at the start of a season.

Just no incentive in this championship or tank environment.

Whatever happened to him getting an MRI? These are the typical games the Lakers play with injuries. The lack of transparency is concerning.

This. He still is not clear for full contact practice, so even Friday game is in jeopardy. No big deal. We will win both games.

Lakers kept Kuz because most likely NO wanted BI. I doubt they asked for Kuzma instead of BI and Lakers said no. They may have asked for both but I would bet it was Zo, #4 and pick one of the two between BI & Kuz. Hart was the final sweetener to complete the deal.

Kuz is officially 6th man on this team. He will probably back up AD, LBJ and close when they move AD to center.

In order to get #2 we needed to get rid of both BI and Zo. We had a shot at him but ultimately didn’t get him. Even though we didn’t get load management I can’t fault Pelinka for trying this strategy since he had the role players lined up as the backup plan.

All the team has said was "stress reaction".

Some people on Reddit said "mid November" and to be honest I wouldn't be surprised

As reported by Christian Rivas:

Quote:

Kuzma will have the opportunity to get a full-contact practice in on Wednesday and Thursday, according to Vogel. If all goes well during that time, Kuzma could make his regular season debut as soon as Friday, when the Lakers are scheduled to take on the Utah Jazz. If not, he’ll get another chance on Sunday against the Charlotte Hornets. Both games will be at Staples Center.

I am sure some wonder where this "smart" came from
I was very upset with Klay Thompson when he landed awkwardly in game 6 and tore his ACL.. I think I'm still upset at him about it
Freak accident yet but when you watch the replay it seems to me to have been more a mental lapse than anything else. He knew he got bumped and was flying in the air.. yet.. his whole focus was on staring at the hoop hoping desperately that the ball would go in.. while losing track of his out of control landing that was about to occur because of getting bumped. One bad mental lapse and he is gone for 10 months..
The Thompson injury

In the same series, previously, Klay landed awkwardly also in a 3pt attempt kicking the defender trying to draw a foul!! You're view has some legs, lol.

I always thought Bynum's injuries were due to lack of awareness.

Especially the one where Kobe's head ran into him

Yea like....how does that happen TWICE ya know? Honestly because of him I was always hyper conscious of situations like that when I hooped and probably avoided some injuries.

Not sure if this is good or bad, maybe both at same time... Kuz better be 6th man level
