This kid is ridiculous. I didn’t watch much Duke games but he did that against GoBert (which was a litmus test for me).

I wonder which team Zion would prefer if by any chance his situation with the Pelicans don’t work out like AD, it seems like NY was the place he wanted to go to when the Knicks were hoping to get the #1 pick

Shawn Kemp was a beast in Seattle but I don't remember people bouncing off of him like they do Zion

Kemp was also mostly limited to straight-line drives and spin moves. He was definitely advanced for a big man of his era in his ability to bring the rock up in the open court, but Zion has a guard handle and passing touch/vision Kemp could only dream of.

True dat.....

Zion probably outweights him by +50lbs too. (young prime kemp version at least)

Definitely so - old Kemp loved being north of 300+ lbs.

I wonder if he can last an 82 game season at his weight.

He has a nice looking 3 point shot for a guy who can’t shoot.

Yep, it's not a Ben Simmons situation at all.

I love this young man. Not only is he exciting to watch, but he has a great personality and seems like a great teammate. It's so refreshing to watch as apposed to the spoiled brats we've been dealing with in the NBA lately. A little humility goes a long way!

Now we know why the Knicks were terrified that they didn’t land the #1 pick, Zion would have changed the fortunes of the Knicks franchise for a long time.

I like what they are doing with the possible exception of not replacing Gentry.

Totally. No disrespect to the pelicans, but man, Zion would be bigger than Jay Z in NYC. He would have loved it too. I would have certainly loved it. A long standing crappy Knicks team is nearly as bad as a dumpster fire Lakers team.

Heck, the whole Pelicans team on the Knicks brings Madison Square Garden back!

Zion on the Knicks would be a global sensation. Remember the 2 NY saviors post Ewing? Starbury then Melo... they were basketball god for like a season, Zion would be that times 10

Zion Williamson is dealing with a knee soreness and is out for the preseason finale tomorrow, surprised no one posted about it... Hopefully he’s ready to go by the season opener.

A severe injury has been ruled out for Zion Williamson’s right knee, but he is expected to miss period of weeks to start regular season, league sources tell ESPN. Pels are clearly treating injury with an abundance of caution but there’s no shortage of confidence on full recovery.

I feel bad for Knicks fans. The Pels will get Zion back at some point and he's already shown how good he is.

The Knicks were supposed to win the Zion sweepstakes and their consolation prize, RJ Barrett, did not look good in the preseason.

I agree with you there but if Zion becomes injury prone and AD ends up being durable that’s gotta sting for the Pelicans, Zion is quickly becoming my non-fav Laker btw, I like guys who play with heart and effort.

There's an odd contingent of folks who want to see this kid fail and can only root for injury to see it happen.

Lakers have the championships so the injuries aren’t as big of a deal, the Pelicans on another hand are striving to win there 1st championship and they need Zion for that to happen.

NEW ORLEANS – Zion Williamson underwent successful arthroscopic surgery today to address a torn right lateral meniscus. The routine debridement was performed by Dr. Jason Folk with assistance from Team Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Misty Suri.

The timetable for his full return to play is estimated at six to eight weeks.

If it's the full eight weeks, he'll 30 games.

That sucks for the NBA as a whole. At least he isn't likely to be a Simmons/Griffin case.
