Damn, a hairy turn awaits us in the schedule starting next week and running all the way to 1/1. We're under a blood red sky til New Year's Day as Bono would say. We'd better win all 3 of the next 3.

Schedule doesn't heat up till December

at MEM and at NO aren't our best venues. Winning both at SA would be a task regardless of their record. I want them to win all 3, but I could easily see them getting bored.

December will tell us a lot about this team.
IMO, barring injuries, we can compete with any team. I'm sure the team is looking forward to the challenge.

Small sample, but it looks like we can play on the road. This is the difference between real contenders and pretenders (Clips).

December looks tough on paper because it's road heavy. But aside from the Utah/Den/Portland (1-2) trip and the east coast trip (2-3) we're mostly on the west coast and finish the month with a homestand. I would hope we can take care of business.

The Lakers don't need to get ahead of themselves; they have to take it one-game-at-a-time.

That being said, we cannot afford to overlook the HAWKS!!

If we can't win at MEM or at NO then we don't deserve to be championship favorites

Agreed, but I think it's more a case of getting over the depression from spending part of their day in those cities. Lakers often lay turds at both buildings almost without regard for who's on either roster or who's injured. That's the only trepidation I have.

Beware of the Hawks; they will come to play tonight.

They snapped a 5-game losing streak to the Lakers the last time they faced LA. The Hawks haven't won in Los Angeles since 2016 so they will be hungry.

December looks like a challenging month. I hope Vince Carter plays tonight, b/c I think this may be his last year, the farewell tour. I think he just signed a 1y deal.

11-2 after tonight, best start since _______.

Win is a win. I almost prefer to see them winning a game down the stretch, especially if our superstars are getting in some load mgmt.

Every night we get to see Caruso and Kuzma development. It's great.

With a win against ATL, the Lakers will have the best record in the NBA.

Lakers vs. Hawks Preview: Can L.A. slow down Trae Young?

Quote:
Trae Young is the motor for the Hawks, and if the Lakers can contain him as much as possible, they should be able to cruise to a win against Atlanta.
