How much better can he get? Granted, he is only 20, he should improve but when I look at him I think his improvement can maybe come physically. He can add more muscle, get stronger, maybe a bit leaner and more athletic but as far as his game, what's there to add? His feel for the game is so elite, its perhaps the best ever. I cant think of many players that had such a feel for the game.

Therefore I don't really see a basketball comparison for him. The comparison I see is scary however. I see Tom Brady.

He will always make the right play, I just don't see this kid getting beat. His feel for the game is just that superior.

He´s one of a kind.

Leaving aside his fantastic overall talent, it is remarkable that in an ultra-athletic NBA , where most players compete by trying to be faster and more explosive than their defenders, Luka is succeeding by playing a slow FIBA pace most of the time. It is hilarious to watch him almost literally walking past his athletic defender, finish with a layup jumping 5 inches in front of guys who can hit their heads on the rim, and then watch their faces like "what the hell did just happened here?"

I kinda feel bad for Trae Young. The media is making the trade lopsided, but TY is actually holding up his end of the bargain. He's doing 28 pts and 8 dimes. Shooting 45% and close to 39% from threes. He's pretty damn solid but the Hawks suck. These numbers are impressive as well for a 2nd season jump. But Luka's size and the fact that he's doing the same TY numbers but also includes the rebounding aspect which makes him a triple double threat every night, puts him "potentially" in the Magic Johnson/Lebron tier. If Trae is for reals, he'll "potentially" be in the Isiah Thomas, Chris Paul, Curry tier. Not too shabby.

yeah, Luka putting up MVP number on a contender, Trae putting up good number (similar to BI) on a lottery team... Cuban scout hit the jackpot

Yes, nothing to complain about for the Hawks. But I think it is fair to say that there is "more truth" in Luka´s stats than in Trae´s. Luka is the kind of guy that elevates everybody´s participation, and his influence on the collective game is bigger than the 8 or 9 assists he´ll average this year.

Yep, he's gonna be a special, unfortunately, the Lakers arch nemesis Mark Cuban got him....

Hate me all you want but if AD is serious about titles, he should sign in Dallas with Porky and Luka.

Depends on Hardaway’s option. If he picks it up they would have to trade him .

Does Doncic have the potential to be better than LeBron?

Offensively, sure. He’s a far better shooter and post player already. His passing is on the same level as James. He can’t get to the rim as easily but almost no one in NBA history can/could.

I don’t think he will ever touch a prime ‘Bron defensively, though..

He is evidence of just how much of a crap shoot the NBA draft is. Just amazing talent.

he's good. but i think the last month people are way overhyping him. in one month he went from being good to "the next magic". like gimme a break.

Well, one thing I can tell you: Since LeBron´s arrival in the league, I´ve never seen anybody with such a total dominance on what is happening on his own team every game, and also I have not seen many players with these characteristics before LeBron.

He is just an absolutely phenomenal playmaker who is much stronger and taller than point guards, plus most of the offensive tricks a great scorer has, and with the right mentality and IQ. Oh, and he´s twenty...

He doesn't have it on the other end. Dialed in Lebron is a game changer on the defensive end.

That said he's the best 20 year old I've seen since Lebron. Guy is unbelievable.

He's also this good because of the spacing Dallas gives him with KP, shooters all around him. They protect him on defense too, with all that rim protection. It makes Luka be able to just play - and not worry about any of his flaws.

Dallas has made some very very smart moves. Have to give them props. They're a major FA player too in 2021. They can build a team that can contend for a long time.
