if everything worked out perfect for us, we'd have an extra 1st, and KCP would be tradeable... then we could really get a nice 3rd player

NBA RUMORS: Lakers Could Potentially Land Zach Lavine! 👀🔥
It’s no secret that the Los Angeles Lakers have opened themselves up to the idea of trading Kyle Kuzma. In fact, the possibility may never have been off the table.
With a few weeks to go ahead of February’s trade deadline, his name has been the center of a number of rumors lately, the latest involving a potential deal with the Chicago Bulls.
In a deal proposed by Jonathan Kiernan of Fansided‘s Lake Show Life, the Lakers could acquire star guard Zach LaVine by sending a trade package including Kyle Kuzma, Danny Green, and Talen Horton-Tucker to Chicago.

I love Zach's game. Not sure how he would fit on this team but if the above is all it takes to get him, I'm all for it

Jonathan Kiernan is code for IG.

Sucks for Dallas but good for Powell for securing the bag this off season before a career altering injury.

So with the trade deadline 3 weeks away who do you guys have getting traded?

Bogdan Bogdanovic
Robert Convington
Thad Young
Derrick Rose
D’Angelo Russell
Andrew Wiggins
Kevin Love
Hassan Whiteside
Malik Beasley
Denzel Valentine
Andre Igoudala
Marc Gasol
Serge Ibaka
Andre Drummond
Tony Snell
Marcus Morris
Julius Randle

all of those guys are expected to be dangled in trade talks. There is potential for a crazy trade movement.

Damn. The scariest injury in the league. Can happen out of nowhere. You can be the best player in the NBA or a role player. Out of nowhere your career is forever altered.

Wish Dwight the best. Hopefully he can make a great recovery like Rudy did.

Yes, I read the read proposal. I was too lazy to write the rest out. But my question remains the same. That would be the ceiling for a Kuzma trade, right?

That would be a damn good trade. Cant get much better than that. Why? LaVine helps us win now, is still very young and is on a great contract!

I wonder what the Powell injury does for the Mavs potential pursuit of Iggy.

Like 3baller said, I’m happy he got his bag tho. That should ease the stress of that injury some. #HateToSeeIt

A few things to note, he was a first time starter this year playing the center position and as a result his minutes took a spike: only 2nd to Luka in total minutes played for the Mavs in as many games as he suited up for them (39).

https://stats.nba.com/players/traditional/?sort=MIN&dir=-1&Season=2019-20&SeasonType=Regular%20Season&PerMode=Totals&TeamID=1610612742

Been sounding like the resident boogieman, but let this be a cautionary tale to us...cause there is a guy on our roster playing a role that he ain’t accustomed to playing for the entire game.

Gonna guess the likes of Russell, Gasol, Ibaka, KLove, Covington, Wiggins, Snell, Randle all stay with their current teams. 50/50 on a couple of others but I think there’s a fair few on that list that are guaranteed to move, like Whiteside, Rose, Thad, Iggy, Bogi etc

I posted earlier that the Mavs have a $11.8 mil TPE. I am not sure what big in that range will be available for a pick.

They have very little to offer OKC for Gallinari.

Yeah, they can't trade a 1st until 2025, also. The best I could come up with is Lee (the salary filler, as an expiring), Kleber (2 years left after this one, with the next year after that unguaranteed), and Finney-Smith (2 years left after this one). Actually, OKC could ask for Seth Curry instead of Lee. Is that enough for them, Curry/Kleber/Finney-Smith? Does Dallas think that takes up too much of their depth?

One nice asset the Mavs have is the Warriors’ 2nd rd pick this year. That’s a better pick than than a very late 1st in some ways.

You think? I'd rather have the late 1st, since it comes with 4 years of potential team control. If you hit on a 2nd round pick, you have to pay that player much earlier than a 1st round pick needs to get paid in their 2nd contract.

3 Team Deal who says No?

Lakers Get: Zach Lavine

Bulls Get: Derrick Rose, Luke Kennard, THT, Langston Galloway

Pistons Get: Kyle Kuzma, Denzel Valentine, Quinn Cook, Danny Green (traded to a contender later)

Lakers Theory - Receive a secondary ball handler and 3rd option for this season and potential running mate for Anthony Davis post Lebron. Best of all scenarios in giving up Kuzma and also opening roster spots for buyout of Iggy and FA singing of Collison.

Bulls Theory - Brings fan favorite Derrick Rose home and provides them with two young backcourt pieces in Kennard and THT (hometown boy) Also clears Lavine off the books as relationship has been unfruitful.

Detroit Theory - Can sell the fans on Kuzma and final four hero Denzel Valentine. Kennard is a loss but the cost of doing business. Danny Green can be flipped for more value to a contender (Mavs, Philly, Miami etc)

From early January. Still believe it would have to be something like this.

Would the other team(s) do your trade?

If you were the GM of the other team(s), would you do your trade?

These are the questions.
