There was a picture posted of him on twitter just yesterday - Carl, his daughter and Mel Brooks were lounging on a bed together wearing Black Lives Matter t-shirts. I guess they knew it was almost the end. RIP one of the great comedy minds.

Here's the picture:

From June 27:

Quote:
carl reiner @carlreiner

Nothing pleases me more than knowing that I have lived the best life possible by having met & marrying the gifted Estelle (Stella) Lebost---who partnered with me in bringing Rob, Annie & Lucas Reiner into to this needy & evolving world
.

From yesterday:

Quote:
carl reiner @carlreiner

As I arose at 7:30 this morning, I was saddened to relive the day that led up to the election of a bankrupted and corrupt businessman who had no qualifications to be the leader of any country in the civilized world...

... At the same time, Hillary Clinton, who had all the needed qualifications to lead our beloved nation, had received 3 million more popular votes than our Russian-installed puppet president.

Damn . . . One of those you knew had to be coming, but still hits hard. I feel for his family and Mel lost his greatest friend. I'm pretty sure he and Carl were still getting together everyday to watch Jeopardy

RIP

Didn't know he was ill. As CL showed, he had been active on Twitter and I thought he wasn't in immediate danger of dying, even though he was 98. RIP to a legend.

Great role.
