Anthony Davis should really get major considerations for MVP.
Last season's Lakers were a lottery team, this year, AD is added and boom! Lakers #1 in the West. _________________

I fantasize about having prime Orlando Dwight next to AD defensively. That would have been the most ridiculous defensive duo ever. |
Much better offensively than KG and a ridiculously good defensive player also. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

I think KG was more of a point power forward, and the defensive coordinator.
AD is just not as vocal and a leader. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

AD has had a great season, but he's not single-handedly responsible for the turnaround. Last year, we were ravaged by injuries, with Lebron missing 27 games. We added several key new players. We have a new coach. So there are quite a few elements in the turnaround story.
My guess is Giannis will win the MVP, Lebron will come in second, and AD will be 6 or 7 in the voting. That seems reasonable to me.
Personally, I'd be more likely to vote for AD for DPoY than MVP. I think he has an outside shot for that one, but will probably come in second to Giannis. |

AD and Garnett have been compared for years, and they are both amazing all-around players, They also have had similar careers, coming into the league at 19 and putting up great stats for teams that struggled to even make the playoffs. |

From the perimeter/3 pt, yes, but KGs low post game is miles ahead. |

I would definitely favor AD and Giannis over Gobert based on results at the Invitational. Gobert hasn’t been intimidating at all. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I keep seeing this over and over again. And it bugs me.
AD doesn't want to play heavy minutes at the 5. That's why he will never start at the 5. It's not Vogel or anybody else's fault.
Nobody wants to piss him off before FA this summer by starting him at the 5. And considering he is fragile, I'm in no hurry to start him at the 5 either. Doesn't mean he can't close games there. That's what we've done all year. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

Giannis will win both awards, then proceed to get spanked in the ECF. |

Brook Lopez doesn’t get enough credit for his defense and rim protection. AD is more deserving. |

This topic has been discussed ad nauseum.
Offense: KG > AD
Defense: KG =< AD
Intangibles: KG > AD
Athleticism: KG = AD
At this point, I'd rather have KG. Dude was beast in his hayday no doubt. Not to mention he had 1-2 moves that were very hard to contain (mid-range shot and fadeaway) and ALWAYS played with fire. ADs offense is very containable (even when guarded w one above-avg defender) more often than not bc he doesn't really have a go-to move. And he looking very pedestrian on offense these days. |

KG could be argued as the 2nd best PF ever. At worst he's top 5 all time. The fact that we're even comparing AD to him means we're lucky to have such a player. IMO the biggest difference between KG and AD.. KG was insane. All out war mindset at all times. I wish AD had some of that but talent wise, AD has everything KG had. |

He hasn’t been as dominate as he was when he was playing in the regular season. |

He's definitely walking to the HEAT after we get bounced. Pitiful effort clearly has his head elsewhere. |

AD has to wake up if we are to win. Superstar is supposed to dominate even when double teamed (or quadrupled, ask Kobe ).
Of course he'll be back, he's AD, but... so annoying to see 7 footer camped out at 3 point line with game on the line. _________________ Lakers fan since that Magical day June 25, 1979. |

If he makes that extra pass to KCP - I would have had no problem. _________________ Author of James Harden and the Strip Club
