Deadly as hell because the joker can shoot the 3s and can score inside. Plus Jokic is also a great passer, and with his height, he can see the open teammate when double-teamed. |

Thankfully we have his kryptonite in AD
He wont be getting double teamed very often against us imo
Great player no doubt though and I will forever remember him crushing the Clippers during our 2020 Championship year! |

If we play mcGee or Dwight on Jokic he'll likely try to drag them to the perimeter but we'll still have AD inside. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

I don't want to overlook the Nuggets like everyone else did, but we really do match up with them far better than the Clippers did. Add to that, we just contained Dame and Harden, arguably the two best offensive dynamos the league had this season. Murray has certainly leveled up and is on fire right now, but still poses less of a challenge to guard than the two guys I mentioned.
The issue will be Jokic, but we also handled him pretty well in the regular season, and now Dwight (who put him in chains before) just became playable again. Hope he's fresh and ready to go for this series, but regardless, Frank has earned a lot of goodwill over the last 10 games. I trust in him now to come up with the necessary gameplan to slow down the Nuggets offense. Did I mention we have this guy named AD to guard Jokic and help contain Murray, too?
More than anything else, they have NO ONE to guard Lebron and AD. Respect the Nuggets, but this series may not take as long as a lot of people think.

The thing that gives me the most hope watching Jokic against the Jazz and Clippers versus us is that those two teams didn't have a single damn big man who could be physical with Djoker and push him around a bit. Now he's not soft by any means, but he had his way with the fake tough guys on the Clippers.
Dwight and AD are gonna be like entering a whole different world for him. |

I actually thought Zubac was going to match up better than what he did against Jokic. He's just too skilled and such an amazing passer, not to mention the unorthodox wrong-footed shot of his |

I remember at least one or two of those regular season games Jokic was looking like Round 1 Nurkic in the fourth against us.
He's obviously in better shape now but still far from great shape and will be getting worked on both ends every game. Every minute he's on the floor will be against a much better defender then he's faced all post season.
I'm sure the media and some fans here will over hype them just like the Blazers and Rockets. At the end of the day though, the results will be the same with possibly 1 less game needed. |

I have much respect for the Nuggs. But make no mistake, our bigs will try to tire out Jokic by running.
AD damn near killed Jurkic running him off the court, and Jurkic is in much better shape than Jokic.
Clips had no one with size (Harrell is 6'5) to really punish Jokic on defense. We will gladly employ our size on him. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Lakers running to wear down Jokic would be ideal. Not expecting him to shoot so well from 3pt this series. Crazy he has improved from 31% reg season to 44% during the playoffs. Certainly have to control that aspect. Nuggets are at their best when he gets rolling with the 3pt shot.
Key for the series will be if the Nuggets role players consistently hit shots or not. They are inconsistent. But overall a very good passing team that willingly shares the ball. They can become impossible to defend when guys like Milsap, Grant and Porter among others start hitting shots. |

At the end of the game, Jokic will have to chase Jav/Dwight/Mook, then deal with our ace in the hole with AD at center. He's going to be winded.
Compare that to Zubac, Trez, the Clips were a cakewalk. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Seeing how the Nugg's dismantled the mighty Clippers, should give some concern for Laker fans, but I think putting AD on Joker is a great match-up, no way he gets a Triple-Double before the 4th quarter (lol -- Clippers).
Murray is a true talent, but we just beat Hardin & Westbrooke, so I'm not worried about our defensive schemes there as well, but may need to start Morris or Kuz (once again sitting our Centers) to play against Grant and their PF's...

I have the Lakers in 6 too.
Clips really didn't have the ideal bigs to match up with Jokic.
We'll start with JAV most likely who will rim run. Then likely Dwight to body blow Jokic. Mook may not see as much time in this round but maybe they want to keep the floor spread, but Jokic may overpower him. Then when Jokic is hitting fatigue at the 35mpg mark, NOW you have to guard AD. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

We should Swap Jav and Dwight. Run Jav mostly against Plumlee and Kieff + Dwight against Joker. |

I remember this during the season and the Lakers way to deal with it is if I remember. If Jovic rolls Lebron will come off his man from the corner and body him Up to make it hard to get good position. Once AD or Javale Dwight get back he returns to his man.
It worked well and this is why Lebron is the best. Kawhi nor pg can do this |

Ding ding.
One thing to have guys like Harrell needing a double to help on Jokic.
Replace Harrell in crunch time with AD. No help needed. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Dwight and Javale had a lot of rest. Both should be good for 12 fouls and being physical with Joker. Then AD can defend him in the 4th |

Yep. We've tended to go single coverage and try to keep our bigger bodies on him, or let him try to beat us from three as we recover. He's shooting much better from three in the playoffs so that part will be more of a challenge. |

To be fair he's obviously used the break to turn from an unfit Jokic to a lean, mean machine. Clippers went the opposite direction.
He'll be harder to stop than regular season Jokic but AD still better athletically and should be able to cover him. The problem is AD won't be on Jokic all game |

It would have been nice to have Avery Bradley against Murray. |
