Lebron was really engaged in this game, he was walking around a lot and talking to officials. He was going on the court to pick up Caruso after Caruso took that charge in the 4th.

He is really close to being ready, probably. Hopefully!

Good mentality.

Keeps him and the team more prepared to take care of their own business instead of always hoping and relying for their 2 stars to save the day.

I don't believe he's either of their actual doctor. He does medical analysis for media and he is a practicing physician specializing in sports medicine. But I don't believe he has any first hand knowledge of having treated either AD or LBJ.

Well high ankle sprains can be a (bleep) because if you rush it, they just linger and linger

I think they want to ensure he is as close to 100% as possible for the playoffs

If it was just a regular sprain, LeBron would’ve played through it and not miss a single game and be the leading MVP, no question.

Let's not forget that LeBron played through multiple ankle sprains during our last championship run in the playoffs. He will be back when we need him, and he can take as much time as he wants/needs. He has earned that much.

So he is basically going to come back with 1 to 2 weeks left in the regular season. After missing 6 weeks. I will be lying if I said I wasn't worried that he will be thrown into the fire with not much time to get into game shape going into the playoffs.

There was 2 weeks of bubble regular season before the bubble playoffs and we know how that worked out. You know the Lakers were having secret practice games throughout the NBA shut down though.

Doesn't help that we will probably face a great team right from the 1st round. Hopefully AD is back to form by then and he can dominate and take some pressure off Lebron that round.

Yeah it’s not great. Lebron is one of those guys who takes awhile to ramp up his game into peak form.

We need to stay out of the 6 seed, would rather face the Clips in the 2nd round so he has more time.

I love how they never released the grade of Lebron's sprain. Could've been a very minor tear or a grade 2 that doesn't require surgery... who the hell knows.

I just hope he didn't lose anything in the way of athleticism. The Clippers are peaking at the right moment and we'll need the bubble version of Lebron and AD to compete.

The last person I would worry about would be LeBron. Kinda crazy how he is getting robbed of a possible MVP two years in a row.

Crazy that he hasn’t won one since 2013 after winning four in the first half of his career.

And it's just him that has to deal with the pain; the rest of us should pause before we minimize pain we don't have to deal with personally.

People often have the perception that an ankle sprain is a nothing injury, but there are a lot of ranges of ankle sprains. It all depends on whether the ligaments have been strained (overstretched), torn or completely ruptured.

In Lebron's case, it looks like at a minimum he has a grade 2 ankle strain and the ligaments have been partially torn. If some of the ligaments have been completely torn, it could take 12 weeks or longer for them to recover.

The media seems to have a real premium to democratizing the MVP. It seems that they favor those who have never won it ahead of those who have. That's why I think Jokic/Embiid are so much ahead of Lebron/Giannis/Steph.

Ironically, I feel like Curry didn’t deserve his first MVP in 2014-2015 (averaging 23.8 ppg and 7.7 APG). Now the media won’t give him another one even if he deserves it because he already has two.

I had an ankle sprain when I was 26 playing basketball that was so severe I still have issues from it from the same ankle now and I am currently 55.

A very bad ankle sprain can be a severe injury, I am always amazed at how NBA Iron Men like Kobe and LeBron often play through the type of sprains that would have sidelined me (I was prone to them as a player) for 3 weeks.
