While Biles has received widespread support from prominent figures such as Michelle Obama and Sarah Hirshland, CEO of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, Kirk slammed the 24-year-old gymnast on his podcast The Charlie Kirk Show.
"We are raising a generation of weak people like Simone Biles," he told listeners. "If she's got all these mental health problems: don't show up."
He continued: "She's an incredible athlete, of course, she's an incredible athlete, I'm not saying that — she's probably the greatest gymnast of all time. She's also very selfish, she's immature and she's a shame to the country."
We can let someone sexually abuse them at their workplace and then ask them to never have any flashbacks or depression over it... What did psychologists find the NAZIs lacked? Empathy!
Let these scummy white trash blame Larry Nassar and those who may have protected him
Also find out what sickos were trying to demand the women wear the least amount of clothing possible.. where are these (bleep) and why is nobody asking for their heads.. hopefully sane people are investigating their backgrounds for any BS
That Russian athletes are allowed to compete, albeit representing a "different" entity, is a disgrace for the IOC. Apparently the consequnce of a state-sponsored doping practice is your national anthem not being played. _________________ “Properly read, the bible is the most potent force for atheism ever conceived.”

Yeah, that whole thing is a complete joke. It so purely a cosmetic and meaningless "punishment" that even all the commentators just call them the Russian Team. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Yep. Example number 2,398 of how ignorance and misogyny still run rampant in our society. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

A little perspective for the armchair warriors who think Simone Biles is a "choker":
The woman on the left is Elena Mukhina, the 1978 women's gymnastics World Champion. She broke her leg and was not permitted the appropriate time to heal. Soviet gymnastics coaches pressured doctors to remove her cast early so she could start training for the 1980 Olympics.
She protested heavily, as she knew her leg was not properly healed and would not withstand the grueling training regimen typical of her sport. Trainers and coaches dismissed her concerns and forced her to continue her training.
While practicing the Thomas Salto (since banned for being so dangerous), she underrotated due to her newly weakened leg, and she landed on her chin. She broke her neck, which rendered her quadraplegic for the rest of her life. She was 20 years old at the time and died at 46.
Reports from Tokyo are that Simone Biles does not trust her own mind and body right now. Given the high level of difficulty (and danger) of the skills she performs, it is asking A LOT to expect her to continue to perform before that self-trust is restored. By pulling out of the team finals, she is listening to her body and her mind and giving herself enough time to heal so she can continue being the badass Queen she was meant to be.
Simone is doing what Elena was not permitted to do- be a voice for her own body and mental health. Anybody who would malign Simone for pulling out of the team final (and daring them to settle for the silver medal) should consider how they'd feel if, instead of reading the headline "Simone Biles pulls out of team final", they were greeted with "Simone Biles paralyzed during dismount."
And if you asked the rest of Team USA if they'd rather have a healthy Simone Biles or a gold medal, you know damn well what they'd answer, and they wouldn't have to think for a second. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

So after slamming Simone Biles for being unprofessional for withdrawing because of not being able to handle pressure, Joker throws a temper tantrum after losing Bronze and then withdraws from the doubles competition . . .
What a f^ç%!#g douche. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

OK, so I hadn't watched a single event until the golf last night and it was great.
I know golf isn't a traditional olympic sport, but that final round was terrific pressure packed action. Xander Schauffele for the Gold and a 61 from Rory Sabbatini to come form 37th place to win the silver in the final round. Not to mention the 7 man playoff for Bronze. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny

Apparently that comment was made before Biles withdrew, and it was in response to a question about winning the singles gold. Even so, your last sentence still holds up. _________________ http://chickhearn.ytmnd.com/

I watched it from about the back nine on, and it was truly great! Schauffele had to save par on 18 after having to lay up in the fairway off a wayward drive, and he stuck his wedge to 2 and a half feet. And yes, the bronze medal playoff was epic. Fun stuff.
The USWNT just lost 1-0 to Canada in the semifinals of the women's soccer tournament. They hadn't looked good all tournament and today was really no exception, although Canada scored on a PK that was totally against the run of play in the second half. And the PK wasn't even on a good scoring chance. Just a clumsy, terrible foul by Davidson, the defender on the play. When you play sloppy, you leave yourself open to lose on one bad moment, and that's exactly what happened.

Easy for Djokovic to say (bleep) when his sport holds little permanent injury risk for failing versus something like gymnastics that can paralyze it's athletes. _________________ Don't let perfect be the enemy of good

I agree, Russia should have been banned completely.
I feel bad for Simone Biles, the pressure women's gymnasts and figure skaters are under during the Olympics is always crazy. My issue is with her doing the whole goat thing and the media way overhyping her. All they are doing is setting her up for a fall.
BTW, I'm proud of the way the rest of the team picked themselves up and won several medals.
I thinks its a down cycle for the Americans this time around, gymnastics, soccer, basketball, etc. we are not the elite dream-teams we have had in past Olympics. Public interest seems down this cycle too.
I always root for the Americans but I am happy for the other teams that win, especially the small countries that rarely win. Although, I think its possible the Chinese and Russians are still cheating on some level, but I'm happy for the rest of the winning countries. _________________ LAKERS 2019-2020: NBA World Champions!
Laurel Hubbard being allowed to compete in female competition doesn't sit right with me. I get that her testosterone levels are depleted but it still seems a bit unfair. But I get it.
Then there is this
Namibian 18-year-old sprinters Christine Mboma and Beatrice Masilingi will not be allowed to compete in the women's 400 meters at the Tokyo Olympics due to having naturally high testosterone levels

This story is crazy but sadly not at all surprising. It reminds me of the story of the cosmonaut who pretty much signed up for a suicide mission to protect his friend (another cosmonaut) from death. Sorry their names escape me right now. Essentially the rocket had a TON of problems but the soviets pushed for it to happen on schedule with a Soviet Union anniversary. Once he’s in orbit he knew he wasn’t making it back and upon reentry he crashed into earth at maximum velocity. One of the saddest stories I’ve read. This gymnast one is right up there with it too. Those soviets were really the worst at protecting their own.

Yep, men's track has been remarkably disappointing for the U.S. We did go 1-2 in the shot put, at least!
A 14-year-old Chinese girl is on fire through 3 rounds in the 10M platform diving competition final. She scored perfect 10's from all 6 judges (only 3 scores count) on her 2nd dive, and her 3rd dive got 10's and 9.5's. Had the Olympics occurred as scheduled last year, she wouldn't have been eligible to compete at age 13.
China continues to pace the field in most gold medals, while the U.S. has a solid lead for most total medals won.
