Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said he will sign an executive order to issue emergency rules for "protecting the rights of parents," making face masks optional across the state in schools and leaving it up to parents.
The governor made the announcement Friday in Cape Coral at an Italian restaurant, where he also presented parents who oppose masks.
"We want to be able to choose, and we want to be able to teach our children without our faces covered," DeSantis told a crowd to applause and cheers.
I hate this (bleep) (bleep) stain so much. He’s got blood on his hands.

Looking at his pics, this guy was clearly part of the at risk population. Compounding matters, he worked in a facility with no windows, recirculated air, visited by a myriad of folks from all over. I consider what he did as a form of suicide. No different that walking across the 405 blindfolded and hoping not to get hit.

The fact that the (bleep) DeathSantis had a better than average shot at winning the presidency in 2024 should frighten everyone. Hopefully we can defeat him in the 2022 Governors race and ruin his chances in 2024, but I’m not confident in that at all.

Everytime I read a post with that in it I thank God for CL and LS for pushing my stubborn old ass out to the VA to get vaccinated. WASHINGTON — At least 125,000 fully vaccinated Americans have tested positive for Covid and 1,400 of those have died, according to data collected by NBC News.

This was the most up to date science-based guidance at the time.
However, due to the spread of misinformation, unvaccinated people defiantly refusing to wear masks in addition to refusing the vaccine, they allowed a more deadly variation of of COVID to develop and spread.
That more virulent and deadly Delta now threatens not only the unvaccinated but the vaccinated as well.
Therefore since the scientific situation has changed, the scientists needed to update their guidance in light of new and dangerous facts.
This is called REASONING.
Try acquiring this skill before you make a fool of yourself again by posting right-wing memes that only people severely lacking in reasoning skills think is a "gotcha" moment.
The rest of us are angry with the anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers because they are prolonging the pain for all us who used our reasoning skills and did the right thing for the last year and a half only to have to ruined - not by CDC scientists - but by the stubborn, ignorant, bratty, ridiculous people who still refuse to get vaccinated and wear masks.
