Yeah, I was opposed to getting him a couple of years ago under any circumstances, but I'm now OK with him for the minimum. But if he's expecting to start or play 30 minutes a night, hell no. |

The Lakers have always been willing to pay big dollars for super star players. But after that they tend to go very cheap. With us looking to be huge tax payers this coming season I really don’t expect them to sign & trade Schroeder for another player making a similar amount to what he wants, it’s just too much for a role player when we have 3 max players already. Buddy, was plan C if we didn’t get another star, but we did so I think his 21+ mil salary is way too much to swallow (especially when you add the massive tax). I’m sure we intentionally got rid of the 1st round pick to save money as well.
I think we’ll only do MMLE and Vet Min signings from here on out. Of course, we’ll bring back THT as he’s just too valuable of an asset to not to. I’m sure they want Caruso back and I’m sure he wants to comeback, so it will just come down to money too. Mostly I believe Rob feels we can fill the roster with talented players taking the Vet Min to play with us. And if reports are even partially correct, he’s right. |

And he's gotta be ok with being sat late game if his defense becomes a detriment.

| I hope we do resign some of our current players as well. I believe having as much consistency as possible will really help us gel with all the new players coming in. I’d bring back Wesley, Morris (we need to post him up more, he’s very effective at it), Caruso, and THT. With LB, AD and/or Gasol we have players we can put in at crunch time that know each other already until the new guys get up to speed. |

Lowry is the big fish this year. Multiple teams are interested. I expect it may take some days before he makes his decision. It could hold up the free-agent point guards including Dennis.

Doubt it, I think Lowry signs day 1.
Heat are tops and they'll offer $30M+
Mavs want him bad, they're max is what $33M?
Knicks only team that can throw a monkey wrench in it if they offer $40M to Lowry.
So does Lowry want money or to compete? |
