Yeah, only assets left. I believe in THT tho, time for starter minutes. Better be shooting threes all summer

agree. i do think tht, russ, caruso on the court together will be relentless. Dont know if anyone makes a shot but they will certainly run the other team into the ground.

Werd, the other team PG gonna get Russ intensity then AC afterwards, 48 minutes of pressure

THT is gonna have a bigger role next season. Dude is already elite at attacking the rim despite having no jumper last season. If he works hard this off-season on his shot, whether from mid-range or from deep, kid is gonna be dangerous, and he’s heading into his 3rd season at 20 years old.

I’m excited to see what improvements he made this season.

Maybe Caruso should start alongside Westbrook in the backcourt? AC shot over 40% from 3-Pt land last year and could help with spacing in the starting lineup.

The Lakers will definitely unleash him more . No more DNPs . The role is to be an assassin off the bench. He will be on attack mode . We going to witness a whole 48 minutes of hell with Westbrook and THT attacking on every angle . If he did develop his 3 ball, he will be a huge problem .

Yes, starting him might work.

This is his first full offseason.

3rd year leap is gonna be insane. Hopefully we unleash him as a scorer this year and he improves his catch and shoot three

The shooting will come, unless he bulks up to Giannis level, which might not be a bad thing anyways lol.

Hopefully in his 3rd year (feels more like 2nd though), his decision making has improved too

I think it comes down to defense.
If he can play proper help defense, he will see minutes.

I hope we can at least keep him. Losing him and Caruso at the same time could be really bad.

THT would be the only player below age of 30.

So the Lakers are really putting everything on next few years.

But THT can be a part of that.

Cap space is drying up, so it shouldn't be long before a new deal is reached.

Not really. AD is 28 at this moment.

I’m scared the Spurs are going to offer something ridiculous. They have I think 37m in cap with no FA being left really. They need bugs tho. I can see a SnT of Derozan. Derozan for Lauri makes sense

It's clear the Lakers need to save every dollar they can because they're already in big-time lux tax territory. So my guess is they're going to wait and sign THT to the least possible offer that beats out any other team's (reasonable/non-poison-pill) offer - while THT's camp will be turning over every rock to find the highest possible offer.

IIRC if they offer him a deal that money gets tied up until he decides.

If the SAS or other teams assume lakers will match they may want those dollars to be liquid.

I could be wrong

HUGE signing!

Between this signing and that of Monk, Pelinka may be redeeming himself after signing zombies like Melo and Ariza.
