After watching the UK vs. LSU game last night... not so sure I'd want Ben Simmons he seems like Lamar Odem which isn't bad but not #1 pick worthy.

I'd prefer if we could somehow trade our top 3 pick for Noel or WCS.

Also I wouldn't mind drafting Murray at #3 and Ulis in the 2nd round if we can move up a little.

Sidenote: This totally makes me seem UK biased which I am... but still feel like they would work well in LA

would still take simmons 1:1. i still think he is BPA. not that ingram is trash. if lakers ended up with first overall and drafted ingram i would not be devastated. i think the simmons<ingram bandwagon is getting a little crazy now and people are being dishonest.

and givony is a goof, stick to copying and pasting combine measurements into your database you manlet clown. all of his opinion pieces are cringey. schmitz is much less cringey and i respect his opinions more. feels like he doesn't have a dog in the fight like givony does. givony loves narratives to get hits on his site

My sentiments are similar. If #1, I think I would still take Simmons. At #2, I'm happy to get one of them.

Any discussion of Sabonis?

I have seen a few Gonzaga games this year where he has done some pretty impressive things athletically for a guy that big.

Lakers don't have any mid 1sts to take the guy.

If you want to scare teams with small ball line ups, you'd have

Sabonis
Henry Ellenson
SF
Clarkson
DLO

Sabonis does all the fundamental things on the backboard, despite size. Ellenson can board better defensively than Julius, and makes better decisions when he pushes upcourt. And he has 3pt. range.

I'm also not convinced that Julius is an elite elite rebounder, he lacks fundamentals and looks lazy often times while the shot's in the air.
I like Ellenson a lot too. He's going to be good in a few years.
