Dat timeout in the 2nd quarter with less than 4 min left was brutal. Iced the team and got them the momentum going into the 2nd half.

Starts and leaves Lebron in the entire 4th.

Leaves in Chandler to guard the bench instead of McGee (Chandler is clearly good against LMA but not faster shooting bigs)

And dat freaking small ball in the 4th.

Not totally his fault this time but he sure as hell didn’t help as usual.

And the funny thing is he benched Bron after the time out rather than executing that possession with Bron to extend the lead. Bron was red hot in the first half. Clownish sequence of events.

It’s those sequences that come back to bite us in the ass, and it did so tonight.

Stop icing your own damn team.

This game is another prove that Luke is not a very good coach. We run no offense and the small ball stuffs just ugly to watch.

We're doing better than I anticipated at this point in the season but this game was some serious mismagement by Luke. Awful time outs and subs.

For this game he did.
The wrong one.
His infatuation with kcp is mind boggling

Luke contributed to this loss significantly when he put Lebron back in to start the 4th. Lebron was clearly gassed by the end of the game and the five that were in there to close the 3rd were on a roll. Not to mention the fact that we have another game tonight in Memphis. I would've sat Lebron until around the 8 minute mark.

The defence on this team is pretty much Tyson, Ingram and Ball.
Luke and any coach will struggle making this group good defensively.

I'm not a big fan of trade ideas but we should investigate trading for an elite second option to LeBron like Bradley Beal. And also look for some defensive role players. Magic may say he didn't think CLE formula works but its the only way LBJ knows how to play. Even in Miami Wade and Bosh had to take major back seats to him and focus on D. It's not like we are in the NBA twenty years ago and Phil is coaching the Triangle. In this era, the way LeBron has established his greatness there's no other way to be elite than to surround him with great shooters and defenders.

Facts 100%. Lot of fans have a bad habit of overrating our personnel and resort to blaming the coach.

And yet since Chandler arrived, we're top 4 defense....

Yea. Should have played guys 24 straight mins at that speed

You're one of those Luke apologists I see seeing how you're just putting words in my mouth.

It's called choosing a better lineup to start the 4th, I didn't say play the same lineup.

Which would you have gone with?
My gripe is going with a center that's not McGee or Chandler.
You?

I am with epak here. This is the total minutes of our starting lineup.

Hart 36
Lebron 37
Lonzo 38
Kuzma 39
McGee 24

And people want a different lineup in the 4th. Svi defense has been atrocious but Lance is equal or worse.

He should rest LBJ for this one. We will lose it anyway. No point to play the guy again 40 min on back to back.

No Lance in the 4th smh I'm starting to think Lance and Luke have some kind of issue behind closed doors.I love Svi but no way he should get more time than Lance.

Just to play devils advocate, that coincides Lebron ball.

Not saying Luke hasn’t made adjustments, but we need to see a little more; especially in the half court offense. Right now it seems like it’s just Lebron ball, imo.

Lebron ball is the best we have to offer

He has a strange infatuation with Svi. The kid has no business playing in that 4th quarter last night with the lineup including KCP&Beasley

I called the loss right when I saw that opening 4th quarter lineup. It made absolutely no sense. To start the 4th, if I recall correctly was LeBron, Beasley, Chandler, Svi, and KCP. Why was LeBron out there with this group to start the 4th?

First of all we had a good lead so why put LeBron out at all if there is a good chance he can sit the entire 4th. If we pushed the lead then he would never have go to back into the game and if the game was close he could come in like normal with 6-7 minutes left.

Instead, he starts the 4th with a bench unit and we give back the lead meaning he has to come out or play the entire 4th. Of course we give back the lead, give them momentum at home, and it was entirely because of the lineup we sent out there.

Yup. The worst thing for Luke is a 10+ point lead. He thinks it’s an opportunity to try out wacko lineups like the one that started the 4th

I think the Lakers could have LBJ and 4 other superstars on the team, and Luke would find a way to still lose games!
