If KL joins the Lakers, NB can actually be pretty cool. I'd rock em. Nikes are such crap.

If he goes to the Clippers though... doesn't shed the dad stigma for NB.

I have abandoned Nike so I will give NB a look if Kawhi is a Laker. I've always liked their running shoes despite their dad appeal

I think it'll be kemba with an outside chance at Kyrie. If these guys don't come, give Cousins a two year deal with a TO on the second year. That way we'll have Cousins for next year and the possibility of signing AD the following year still.

Here's a very optimistic take on Lebron's defense lol:

Signing Kemba Walker and/or Jimmy Butler to max contracts would be an off-season failure IMO. I’d rather we stand pat, continue to let Kuzma and BI mature and grab AD when he becomes a FA. If lebron has a problem with that then give us a list of teams you want to go to and we’ll see what we can get for you. We can’t let him ruin our future when we’re not even close to a championship. Had he become “activated” and carried us deep into the playoffs instead of going 4-14 then maybe, but all he showed me this year was that he can no longer carry a team and the end is near.

Yet we can’t do that and pay AD the max. And if we don’t get him, who do we punt 2020 for to sign in 2021? Then 2022? I guess we try again when Lebron retires? That is a real crappy future.

Ok, but realize you're signing players that are scraps left on the table and giving guys max contracts that no other team was willing to. Add to that Jimmy Butler is a known team cancer. I hear a lot of guys praising Jerry West as a GM, and for good reason, and one of the things he's notoriously famous for is believing in a player's character as much as his talent. IMO that's what's been lost in the last 6 years of our demise. We keep going after theses players with marquee names and no heart. Winning championships and building destinies is just as much about what's between a players ears as it is his physical ability. The term "basketball IQ" is used way too loosely today IMO"

You guys don't believe running it back with Jimmy B, (should we miss on everyone else) and Bron would be a legitimate contender?

I know there's nothing sexy about it, but if we picked up a few shooters with him I think we make a deep playoff push.
