You can tell how special Zo is as a passer because IT is an elite passer and Lonzo's already on a higher plane.

If we don't get the two max agents, I really hope we sign IT. The two together are amazing.

If we strikeout on PG and Bron I think that signing IT and Randle would probably be enough to get us into the playoffs with the way the team/youngsters are progressing.

I'd put money on it... this is already a playoff team... look how many games we had to play with Ennis starting... that change alone would have put us into the eighth seed.

Starting Randle all year would have helped

Yes but we lost most of our games during that middle period. If we can steal few games in March we might still have an outside chance.

No doubt. I’d also add playing Zubac all year. When Nance was out especially, he would have helped.

Amazing game from Randle, Ingram and ZO. Zo especially, 13-7-5 with 3 steals in 24 minutes and didn’t miss a shot or FT.

Looks like to me that Lonzo needed that rest, this is a long season for a rookie (ask kuzma), he has come back and looked better than I’ve ever seen him.

Probably by design.

Pelicans will have a 6 game winning streak if they win tonight... Looks like they didn't even need Boogie.

Yep, we should've developed Zu instead of wasting so many minutes on Lopez. I like Brook, but he's just too slow.

following this win

Lakers #11, 26-34 .433 with 22 games left.
5 games behind #10 Utah (31-29) and 7 games behind #8 Denver (33-27)

If the Lakers finish the final 22 games at the current rate of .433, that would be 9.526 more wins for a season record of 35 or 36 wins.

WRT lottery balls: there are still 9 teams with worse records then us, meaning we're 10th worst.
we are within shouting distance of passing Charlotte at 27-33 .450

Minus the 9 game losing streak we are around 500 team and right in the hunt. We were playing at a high level before Zo's first Injury and the subsequent 9 game slide kind of put us in a deep hole.

Hope they get at least one of their next 2 against Mia or SA and finish with at least a 3-1 trip.

On an unrelated note, (bleep) the Celtics. The only time I bet on those (bleep) they blew the spread in the final seconds and cost me money.

Get your popcorn ready. Competitive ball all year. One of the better seasons in a very long while. Every single one of our guys is showing improvement playing with one another. Got the right momentum going, but need to expect to be tested this month. This is our playoffs. Let’s see how Lakeshow responds.

Yep. First half of March is a tough lineup. If this team holds it's own the next 3 weeks that would be impressive.

RECAP:

Ingram has 21 points as Lakers show off depth, beat Hawks
Quote:
Good ball movement meant impressive scoring balance for Brandon Ingram and the Lakers.

Ingram had 21 points and 10 rebounds, leading nine Los Angeles scorers in double figures, and the Lakers beat the Atlanta Hawks 123-104 on Monday night for their third straight win.

Quote:
Lakers’ massive fan base can make a game on the other side of the country feel like it’s at STAPLES Center.

The fact that there were people wearing the jerseys of Kobe Bryant, Nick Van Exel, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Cooper and Shaquille O’Neal goes to show how decades of success has led to one of the largest collection of sports fans in the world.
(BBB was in the house too)

And those fans made themselves heard at the end of a 19-point rout, filling the visiting arena with chants of “Let’s go Lakers!” as the clock ran out.
