This is a powerful argument. Dude will be booed reletentlessly by his hometown for all time if he joins the Clippers. Does he really want that. |
He had to deal with The Spurs, Parker, and Skip Bayless for a whole season talking crap about his decision not to play due to injury. In the end, it worked out for him. I don't think he's the kind of player who succumbs to pressure like that. This guy takes the road less traveled. |

I was gonna say.. Spurs are boring and weird anyways..small town problems
But Kawhi is proposing leaving a whole Country.. not just a city etc or state.. lol.. Something like 2 million people attended the parade and he leaves them with the KawhiLaugh©
FWIW.. he met Plant Man at the parade from what I read.. hilarious.. dude was walking around after game 6 in Toronto drunk with a giant plant he said he wanted to give to Kawhi.. cops were right there paying him no mind |

Lol.. you must know about the Suns reasoning for turning down drafting Kawhi Leonard? |
The Ridiculous Reason Why The Suns Did Not Draft Kawhi Leonard
Quote: | One recent example of their questionable team-building methods is the reasoning behind their decision not to consider Kawhi Leonard in the 2011 Draft.
(per Dan Feldman of NBC Sports)
But with a front office conducting its first draft in Phoenix,
then-General Manager Lance Blanks’ staff did not have Leonard in the discussion.
Part of the Suns’ knock on Leonard, beyond his perimeter shot,
was how nervously he acted in a draft combine interview,
when he sweated through his suit.
Instead, Phoenix went with Markieff Morris at 13, while Kawhi was picked (and promptly traded) two spots later. Kawhi would go on to build himself an All-Time resume at just 27-years-old, making 3 All-Star teams, 3 All-NBA teams, 5 All-Defensive teams, becoming a 2x Defensive Player of the Year, and 2x Finals MVP.
It is a shame the Suns let body sweat get in the way of their chance at a guy like that. |

Kawhi is still in play for the Lakers until he actually makes a decision according to Damon Jones. |

He was always going to leave the spurs regardless. Skip should learn to accept that. California is a different beast to San-Antonio. NB is trying to expand its Brand. Won't work in California if he joins the Clippers. If Boardman does not want to get paid, then let him rot with the Clippers. |
Obviously. California is a state and San Antonio is a city. If it's more exposure he wants to expand his brand, Toronto can be that place...On a more International level.
CP3 is still milking his State farm commercials long after he left the Clippers. BG was a media doll when he was part of Lob City. Mind you, this all happened while Kobe ran this town. So saying he can't expand his brand if he goes JV, isn't true. If you have the goods, you will get exposure no matter where you end up in LA....Or anywhere else. |

He probably doesn't care what a bunch of spoiled fans do. If he does, it would likely cement to himself the idea that he made the correct choice. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I really hope there are some connections being via back channels to gauge how serious Kawhi is in considering the Lakers.
We absolutely cannot afford to wait days into free agency just for Kawhi to make a decision because the most valued players would have already made agreements. Heck even middle tier guys are already making handshake agreements |

I hope if he does not become a laker, that he goes back to Toronto because he will be booed at other venues in Los Angeles... this will always be a lakers town. An elite player of his caliber should never go to the B team in the city
You are to big for that.... Kevin Durant is to big not to go to the knicks. It will be like he is back in San Antonio. Remember Chris Paul at the dodger games |
