I doubt it. He got minutes with those guys too, his shots just weren't falling. Good to see his shots fall the last two games, his minutes will continue to go up if he is consistent.

Always been confident he's a shooter, whether he's more is where uncertainty kicks in.
Step by step, good bounce back Svi.

His shooting is what we really needed. Between, he is a very versatile player too with decent physicality

SVI should play with the South Bay to get his confidence just liked most rookies.

Yes, a pretty good athlete. Slides his feet well on D but he was backed down a few times tonight pretty easily. Other than that -- just keep shootin' 'em Svi!

I ragged on this pup, but I am HAPPY to eat crow. He is improving. Props to Luke for sticking with him.

When Svi arrived he already had a great stroke, he just needed to
get past those pro jitters. It's nice to see him getting some PT to
build on.

The thing about him is that even if he misses all his shots it feels like he is still productive. That's the mark of a great player

His shot is coming around. If he can reach Machine level we may have a player on our hands.

Everyone knows he can shoot. I think it's the speed of the game that he had to adjust to, but also he needed success to breed success. He needs to believe he can really do it at THIS level. Now that he's being trusted to play with guys...and contributing...we see the results are taking care of themselves.

He's more than a shooter, but the rest of his game is predicated on his shot falling first, and then other parts open up. Against the Spurs he made a nice pump fake behind the line and then drove it inside and got the foul. His handles are adequate enough to take it inside the paint. I hope he develops a deadly Tony Parker-esque tear drop.

Here's some useless stats

Lakers are #1 in Offensive Rating when Svi is on the court at 118.2

And they drop to #18 in offensive Rating when Svi is off the court.

The Lakers are overall #16 in Offensive Rating

I wouldn't call them useless. Rather, they are in need of proper interpretation.

I think we got spoiled by having our recent late picks, Kuzma and Hart basically hit the ground running and was able to contribute right away. Most late picks struggle and have the deer in the headlight look. Svi's struggles is par for the course and he's been looking better.

SVI is a rare player, with 4 years at school and lots of Euro experience for such a young guy. I see him having a 12 year career, at least, int he league.

Hart didnt fly out the gates at the beginning of his rookie season. But he got more consistent run.

He need to be JJ Redick first to stay in the league. The rest of his Bobby Sura game can come later when he established his shooting. He’s better than the Machine for sure .

the Lakers need to definitely work in more minutes for Svi. This season is basically a chemistry and development run for next year when we try to have a serious championship push. We are going to need him to play big for us off the bench with KCP, Rondo, Lance most likely gone so now is the time to get him as much run as possible so he can get more seasoned and work away all the nervous jitters.
