Going back some years, I remember he was a hot commodity. Got a really good contract, from what I recall.
Has he had any major injuries?
Why the huge drop off in production, you think? Bad attitude? Lack of motivation? out of shape?
Just asking so I know what the deal is with him. |

Because Boogie's mobility is severely limited due to not just the Achilles injury, but the ACL tear. Boogie was a very nimble big man who could move his feet. Now? Not so much.
Dennis is 27 and had a really good season last year. So it's not far fetched to think he can improve as he enters his prime. Boogie has left his prime and has had 2 devastating injuries now. It's not a double standard. Of course if Boogie joins us, I will root for his success but I will certainly not think he will be the Boogie of old. |
I saw him do a spin move the other night... It wasn't much but it was more than Marc has done this year. I said 80% of what he was... not all the way back, though who knows if he doesn't get one more setback.
I'm sure every one believes Klay will be a contributor and he had both injuries if I recall correctly.
We aren't talking about a max salary. We are talking about the former best center in the league for minimum salary. It's a great investment if we do it.
Plus our team plays kind of weak except for Dennis and Trez... It will be nice to have another fiery player in the mix. I miss Rondo. |
Very sentient...hmm.
I understand but comparing his situation with Dennis's is really not an apt one.

Probably will have to be McKinnie plus a 2nd (or two) in the future. I'm fine. Those picks would be in the late 40s/early 50s. Lakers have bought 2nd round picks before (i.e. THT).

we seem to be in need of another big but if Spol cant get you going I dont know who would. he has a little bit of bynum in him IMO where he knows everything and doesnt take kindly to advice. |

So did a bunch of teams re: Dwight. I think we have the infrastructure and leadership to help him in a lesser role. In fact, give him a Dwight role (enforcer, rim protector, rebounder) in 12-14mpg and it may help us.

Based on what I am reading, other than this year, Whiteside is a consistent 13-15 point, 11-13 rebound guy.
Right now he is playing like 20 mins a game. |

dwight wasnt on a guaranteed for half the season. Plus DH was going through is transgendered relationship and was injured prior. he had every reason to play along. |

Bring on Cousins, we need him for the regular season to take load off LBJ and pace AD back into game shape. in today's league defense is overrated, rules simply are not there to play good individual defense. as long as you don't commit bone head defensive breakdowns you should be fine. |

and without DS. people keep forgetting about him. had he played these last 2 games we win IMO and the sky isnt falling as much. |

Whiteside brings the same vertical threat that DH and JaVale brought.
That’s important for a team that has Lebron. It opens things up for Lebron. |

it is overrated. i'd love to see scottie pippen and michael cooper guarding the likes of duncan robinson and james harden when all they doing is baiting you to foul them beyond the 3 point line. |

we won a ring with defense.Our early season dominance with a new team was because of defense. Harden like clockwork gets shut down in postseason because of defense. |
