All 5 could handle and run the offense if needed. 5 switch able players on defense.

I'd rather have that than Boogie who would have to sit out against small ball lineups.

Meh, who is going to rebound with this lineup? The same thing as in the last game except Bullock & Rondo. We will get crush!

I wouldn't be over concerned as long as that is not the starting lineup or the one getting the majority of the mins. Just closing...

Let's say we can sign Butler and then use the remaining (sans Bullock cap hold) of cap for DeAndre Jordan. Rondo and Chandler come back on a minimum. Ellington wants to come back and ring chase.

Jordan | Wagner | Chandler
LeBron | Kuzma
Ingram | Bullock | Ellington
Butler | Hart
Lonzo | Rondo

+ 1st round selection

I still prefer to sign Kawhi/Klay/KD/Kyrie and I think that team has some holes unless the kids step up big time, but I like them to challenge anyone and if KD is in NY with Kyrie, that team could come out if the west and we'd still have the ability to move the kids for a star (AD) or move them for other pieces... I'm hoping Lillard becomes available but his recent comments indicate that would never happen.

Chandler maybe, but Rondo and DJ can get longer and more lucrative contracts.

Lonzo and Butler as long as Kuz bothers to box out.

DAJ seems toast outside of the rebounds stat padding.

How much do you guys think D Jordan will get? Maybe a discount to return to LA

I put that back then thinking we'd win a ring in 19. Guess you could say I didn't speak it into existence.

BUT, technically I'm not wrong if we win it next year because that's the 19-20 season but looking like time to change it.

So would I but I don't think Kuz would get us Portis. He's having a phenomenal season.

I wouldn't trade Kuz for him heh.
Especially since Bobby is a RFA after this year and Kuz will be on that rookie deal for a couple of years.

By what standards is Portis having a phenomenal year? All I remember reading the Bulls forums these past 2-3 years is complaints about his poor defense and average offense.

If Portis was a Laker he’d be traded already

Maybe confusing his Wiz stats with his stats for the entire season?

19/7 and 54% from 3 over 4 games

(I only mention Harris because he actually was a Clipper)

We should put all our energy into signing Kawhi... although again with Klutch... I have little confidence that will be our game plan.

I hope I'm wrong... but I've heard nothing to suggest that we are aggressively pursuing him.

suggest to aggressively pursue Kawhi and get fined for tampering

people dude

Well, Lawrence Frank is basically following Kawhi everywhere, other teams do it. We are just dumb to do it in talk show interviews and not backstage.

Yeah, and while DAJ was an elite rebounder and man defender at one point, he was never exactly an elite rim protector either (and certainly is not now).

I'd take him over McGee/Chandler if he becomes available on the buyout market, but for next season I think we could find better, younger, more dynamic options.

He did have a great start there, but he's putting up numbers in a tanking team, just like Thomas Bryant. And we also need to see if this streak holds up.

The Bulls had 3 players for the PF spot and chose him as the odd man out. That should tell you what his value is.

Portis is an ok guy to have off the bench I suppose, but even with all his flaws, Kuz is a much more valuable player at this point.

Buyer beware on Cousins... He can still barely move and keep up on the defensive end. Kings exposed him tonight.

Yeah and I don't think he'll be available for as cheap as a McGee/Chandler or... Nerlens Noel, who is a Klutch client and on a $1,988,119 salary at OKC, they signed him using the minimum.

They basically ran that lineup last night as a small ball group and we beat Houston.

That's not what I would start with but as a death lineup not a bad option.

Next off season will be a pivotal one for the Lakers.
The reason is it is hard to be a winning team and be under the
salary cap. Have to pay to get the better players.
There are exceptions but those teams had to tank a long time to
get them.

But with a max slot open and an up and coming team, the Lakers should
be in a good spot. Not trading the whole team for AD was the best thing
that could have happened for Magic and Pelinka. Need a whole team to win.

Wait, so we’re eyeing Deandre Jordan? I know Lebron really wanted him last season in CLE. I doubt the Knick would let him go. I’m guessing they’d like to keep him since he’s one of Durant’s best friends. But if we get Jordan and he’s willing to play a shred of defense this season, we might be in business.

Summary of the last 10 pages is that it's Jimmy Butler or bust because Lakers strike out on Durant, Kawhi, Irving?

Go Maginka!
