Welcome to L.A… A new face joined the Laker rotation tonight. They’ve tossed aside Zubac and Williams. They’ve left behind the Kuzma and Beasley experiments at C. In that large void at the center position, Tyson Chandler stepped into the role.

They threw him into the fire and he came up big down the stretch to help the team gain a couple of possessions in the final minute.

Both teams had traded leads for most of the night. In the fourth quarter, the Lakers started to scratch out a small, few point lead. The Wolves hunted Rajon Rondo in the last one, they hunted him again tonight.

Derrick Rose drilled a couple of huge threes right over Rondo to trim the lead down to 1. He’d sink another when Rondo got lost on D and Chandler had to take Rose.

In the final minute, it was Chandler in the game to close. He battled on the glass to help the Lakers regain a couple critical possessions and run clock, eventually forcing the Timberwolves into intentionally fouling to stop clock. Those have been the types of plays that the Lakers have been missing.

The Lakers held on to secure a 114-110 win after Rose missed a three and Josh Hart knocked down a couple freethrows.

LeBron -- -- He led the team with 13 points on 6-9 shooting and 6 assists in the first half. He’d end up one assist shy of the triple-double. Amazing he can just cruise through a game like that put up big numbers. Luke changed up the rotations in the second half. He pulled LeBron after 5 minutes. Got him a little rest, then left him in the rest of the way. Throughout the night, it seemed like we were really focused on getting BI into a more effective role. Out of timeouts, he was often involved in key plays. Then we just kind of let LeBron and the vets fill in around that. We ended up with four players with 20+ point games and LeBron with the near triple-double. LeBron sank a few threes, hit his step-backs and fades. He also had a massive dunk when he attacked and open lane and had a runway. Luke played him 39 minutes tonight. We’ve got to string some wins together now that we’re through that first 10 game stretch. Securing this one seems to have been a definite priority as the leaned up him for some big minutes. The Stats: He scored 24 points on 10-21 shooting (3-9 from three, 1-2 from the line) to go with 10 boards, 9 assists, 2 blocks, 3 turnovers and 1 foul in 39 minutes. He was a +3. The Action: He swished a step-back wing jumper. He stepped on the gas in transition and Lonzo found him for the layup. He missed a wing three. He attacked, spun and was swatted by the help. Interior bounce pass to McGee for a dunk. He was stripped out of bounds on a pushout. He curled off the screen, ball-faked and scored the layup. He attacked off the three line, elevated and hammered. He hit Hart in transition for a three. He iso’d on Wiggins, blew past him and scored a layup. He sank a two-for-one three. He drew help and hit Kuzma trailing for a three. Second Half: He missed a deep three. He hit McGee for a dunk in transition. He blocked Gibson on a weakside rotation. He couldn’t finish a drive. He sank a baseline jumper. He missed a pull-up three in early offense. He missed a step-back fade up against the shotclock. He sank an open wing three behind a screen. He pushed out the rebound and was mugged for FTs, he made one. He missed a baseline jumper. No help on Rose’s drive to give up a layup. He bounced to McGee on the roll for the dunk. He sank a wing three on a swing pass. He missed a fade after working the screen. He backed his man down and hit the turnaround in the paint. He missed a deep three.

Ball -- -- Limited action tonight. Active start to this game, playing with the kind of energy and effort that we need from him. Just 1 points on 0-3 shooting in the first half, but he had 5 assists a couple steals and a few boards. Good activity level and he was giving Rose at least some issues with some steals in this one, unlike Rondo. He sat quite a bit of the second half, however, as we leaned on Rondo down the stretch and nearly got burned. I don’t mind if Lonzo doesn’t have it going, but I would like to see some situational subs where we sit Rondo for a minute or so when we need to get a stop out of a timeout. Just doesn’t feel like we are thinking defense at times and Luke kind of confirmed that with his answer to GT’s question. When asked about going back to Lonzo for D, Luke brought up Josh Hart and coming back to him. This shows he’s thinking of Hart as more of the stopper then Lonzo, which is often not the case on the perimeter. When Luke got back to finally answering the question, he said, "Rondo was doing a real nice job of just being a point guard out there." That just basically confirms, Rondo was out there for offense. The Stats: He scored 3 points on 1-6 shooting (0-3 from three, 1-2 from the line) to go with 5 boards, 6 assists, 3 steals, 3 turnovers and 2 fouls in 21 minutes. He was a -8. The Action: He zipped a pass to BI for a dunk. He spotted LeBron in an opening in transition for a layup. He picked Rose and pushed it out with speed for FTs, he made one. He deflected a kickout but couldn’t recover it. He missed a corner three after a steal. He missed a pull-up wing jumper. He lobbed to Ingram for a dunk. Second Half: He swiped the ball from Rose on iso. He missed a three in transition. He hammered down a lob dunk from BI out of a timeout. He missed a deep three in early offense.

Ingram -- -- He mostly avoided the inefficient midrange game of his that has been hurting us. A lot more passing from BI (finally!). Not a very effective looking first half scoring wise but he had an occasional really good play mixed in with the uglier stuff. He’d finish the first half with 8 points on 3-8 shooting with 3 assists and 2 blocks. I’ve been stressing the importance of him drawing the D better and passing. Today, they finally used him more as a trigger man. He’s got to learn to be a passer and the Lakers kind of force fed that role to him a bit tonight. Out of deadballs he was the guy often making the assist quite a bit. He started last season forcing things and then his game opened up when he started moving the ball. If he’s playing with a big like McGee, the lane is going to clog up for him (same with Chandler). So he needs to draw bigs and lob or hit open shooters if they take that away with help. He had a lob to McGee on one play and a nice no-looker on the drive and dish on the other. That’s what I want to see. Not the pull-ups from midrange but making the other big commit to him and then passing. He also hit a couple of threes, including a big one trailing the break. That was huge. His worst shot of the night was a late game force from the midrange but thankfully he hit it. Glad it went but still hate that shot. Defensively, we had him hounding Butler. On the last play of the game, they put BI on Rose. BI got stuck on a screen and Rose got a great look as Chandler didn’t switch quickly enough. Thankfully, that missed. But, again, high praise from the staff as seeing him as the defensive stopper. Just a much more well-rounded game from him and that’s what we need. The Stats: He scored 20 points on 8-14 shooting (2-3 from three, 2-2 from the line) to go with 5 boards, 6 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks, 3 turnovers and 2 fouls in 35 minutes. He was a -2. The Action: He missed a pull-up from the elbow. He dunked in transition when Lonzo fired a pass to him on the weakside. He sank a good look at a baseline catch-and-shoot on an inbounds. He blew a layup on a baseline drive. He attacked the paint, drew the big, but tried to finish instead of lobbing and couldn’t. He lobbed to McGee in transition for a dunk (that’s more like it). He missed a tough corner three trying to beat the shotclock. He backed his man down and was fouled on a series of pivots, he made both FTs. Nice recovery to block Bulter’s jumper. He attacked on iso and couldn’t finish. He attacked and no-looked behind him to McGee for the dunk. He dunked off a lob from Lonzo (almost looked like Luke was running cover for him talking to BI on that play). Second Half: Should have lobbed to McGee instead of bounce pass and McGee got stripped (good idea on passing…and we did this on our first possession of the half). He missed a pull-up from midrange in transition. He pounded the dribble and coughed it up when the D bottled him up. He couldn’t finish a lob. He lobbed to Lonzo for the dunk out of the timeout. He sank a wing three in early offense. He got some separation by creating space on a bump and hit the short baseline jumper. Sloppy advance pass, turnover. He snaked the screen, up-faked the big and hit the finger roll. He got Towns to charge in the post on a switch. He telegraphed a pass out of a timeout, steal, dunk the other way. He forced up a wing jumper over KAT and got it to go on the other end, not a good look but it went. He sank a three trailing the break, rare we see that type of shot from him. He hit Kuzma slipping a screen for a dunk.

Kuzma -- -- Kuz sank four threes in this game. None bigger than a sideline three in transition with just a couple minutes left in the game. Got to like that confidence. He’d miss a couple other shots, however, down the stretch, including only making one of two FTs with 9 seconds left. We just have no one who is automatic from the line on this team. So painful at times. Having Chandler on the team today meant no small ball. In the second half we also only ran one of LBJ or Kuzma at the PF (instead of Hart). So we played bigger. That should help Kuzma’s effectiveness on the floor as he’s not exactly gobbling up rebounds (especially when he leaks out too early on occasion). The Stats: He scored 21 points on 8-15 shooting (4-7 from three, 1-2 from the line) to go with 2 boards, 1 assist, 1 steal, 2 turnovers and 2 fouls in 33 minutes. He was a +3. The Action: He missed a drive. He traveled off the three line. He was called for a charge trying to attack Towns. He missed a three in transition. He missed a short one trying to create. He faced up and blew past his man for a dunk. He upfaked from the three line, attacked and dunked. He sank a quick-fire wing three in transition. He sank a three at the halftime buzzer when LeBron found him trailing. Second Half: He sank a three in transition. He missed a drive. He passed on an open corner three, attacked and made the tougher floater over KAT. He swung a kickout to LeBron for three. He and LeBron leaked out and left their man open under the hoop for a score. He missed an open corner three. He dunked off a slip screen when BI hit him. Huge transition three with under 2 minutes left. He missed a floater. He missed an open corner three. Intentionally fouled with 9 seconds left up 1, he made just one FT.

McGee -- -- Help is here to reduce the wear and tear on JaVale. It didn’t slow him down, though. He had 12 points on 6-7 shooting in the first half. He’d finish with 16. No shotblocks in this one as the TWolves were rather perimeter oriented tonight. The usual assortment of dunks by McGee. He’s just impossible to stop when he’s got a runway or a clean lob pass. He slipped in a jumphook, as well, tonight. Interesting that they went to Chandler to close tonight. Let’s see how that plays out over the next few games. The Stats: He scored 16 points on 8-10 shooting to go with 4 boards and 1 foul in 25 minutes. He was a -2. The Action: He couldn’t finish the lob off the jumpball. I don’t think Ball realized it was McGee he was passing to in transition at the three line and it resulted in a turnover when McGee fumbled it. He dunked off the interior bounce pass from LeBron. He cleaned up BI’s layup miss. He dunked off a lob in transition after a made basket. He dunked off the drive and lob from Rondo. Rim run, he then got the ball and hit the jumphook. He dunked off the drive and dish from Ingram. Second Half: He was stripped on a bounce pass from Ingram. Good job changing ends and LeBron hit him for the dunk. He dunked on the screen-roll with LeBron.

Hart -- -- He sank all four of his attempts from three in the first half. When he shoots like that as our bench PF, it makes you almost wonder if he shouldn’t be the small ball C (I kid). But I think PF really only works because you’ve got a traditional big out there to battle on the glass while Josh does a great job boxing out. In the second half, we changed up our lineups to keep Hart at the SF while running Kuzma or LeBron as the PF. The Lakers made 15-34 from three tonight (44%). Hopefully, he develops the reputation as a knock down shooter. We could use someone who has that kind of gravity to help open the floor. Credit to Hart for making all his FTs including the final two that iced the game. Excellent stats with 21 points in 21 minutes. The Stats: He scored 21 points on 5-7 shooting from three (6-6 from the line) to go with 4 boards, 1 steal, 1 turnover and 2 fouls in 21 minutes. He was a +11. The Action: He sank a corner three shortly after entering. He sank a corner three on the break (probably should have got in the lane for a layup on the two-on-one). He flashed to the ball, took the pass and buried the three. He sank a wing three on a kickout in transition. Second Half: He missed a wing three. He couldn’t handle an interior feed. He deflected a pass and jumped over the first row cleanly. He tried to iso against a big and traveled. Not close on a three in transition. He swished a sideline three off a swing pass at the end of the third. He attacked the paint, sought contact and drew FTs, nearly making the And-1, he made both. He swiped an inbounds, pushed it out and was fouled on the layup attempt, he made both FTs. He was fouled with 1.2 seconds left on a defensive board, he made both clutch ones to ice it.

Rondo -- -- Luke kills me with leaving Rondo out there in the final couple of minutes. The TWolves burned us by going after Rondo in the last one and again in this one. Rose just shot straight over him with no concern down the stretch for a couple of threes. Then, made another when Rondo got lost on D in early offense and Chandler had to take Rose. Just killing me. At least Luke sat him with 9 seconds left, but I wish he’d think of Lonzo as more of a defensive stopper when we need to clamp down. He liked how Rondo was running the point in the game. But in those final couple of minutes that generally seems to go sideways as we lean on LeBron to do stuff. Luke liked that he was helping Chandler get into offensive sets that Tyson was familiar with. Luke wanted to know why Rondo was quieter tonight, he said because Chandler was speaking up quite a bit and giving them another voice. Our two PGs tonight went 2-13 from the floor. Even though they had 16 assists combined, that won’t cut it. If Lance is our third string PG, then the trio combined for 2-16 shooting. Uggh. It wouldn’t surprise me as we get better late in the season with our sets that we just go without that trio if they are shooting poorly and let LeBron run things. The Stats: He scored 2 points on 1-7 shooting (0-1 from three) to go with 6 boards, 10 assists, 3 turnovers and no fouls in 27 minutes. He was a +10. The Action: He missed a midrange jumper. He attacked, spun and threw it out of bounds. He hit Hart for a three. He missed an awkward turnaround bank after picking up his dribble. He worked off the screen and lobbed to McGee for a dunk. He crashed the glass on an inbounds. Then picked up a foul on Rose on the inbounds (Rose pushed him before taking the pass and Rondo embellished to draw the whistle). He attacked and missed a finger roll, but Chandler cleaned it up. Second Half: His pass to LeBron in the paint was picked off. He missed a corner three. He missed an iso step-back jumper to start the quarter when our set broke. He missed a layup on a drive. He hit Ingram trailing the break for a three.

Chandler -- -- “It’s been a crazy 48 hours,” Chandler said after this one. They went through some plays on the court with him after he signed, gave him the playbook, ran through it some more and then threw him out there. Even letting him close the game to help get the win. He came up huge in the final minute with some superb battling on the offensive glass. (That 14-second shotclock reset goes by fast after those!) Those were huge plays that shortened the game in the Lakers favor. “He gave us a taste of what he could do,” Luke said afterward. So just what is that? Start with the work on the glass. We’ve been bleeding there all season. Now you’ve got a 7-footer who can box out and secure boards. The Lakers won the rebounding battle tonight by 7 boards. Chandler had 9 (5 offensive). We’ve struggled with getting extra possessions or preventing opponents from getting extra possessions. He instantly helps with that. Offensively, he’s going to set screens and roll to the hoop for scores or get you tip-ins. He’s not as fast as JaVale (not close) and can’t get up like JaVale (not close), but the game is essentially the same. That gives the team continuity, which they badly need. Luke has had the team bouncing around with all kinds of lineups and that just bleeds us with mistakes and confusion. Lastly, he’s going to bring that vet presence. Being vocal on court and off, but just bringing that vet savvy to make us play a little smarter on the floor with him out there. Luke trusted him to close the game tonight because of that. At the end of the night, he didn’t score a lot but he was a +6 with the board and some particularly good post D against Towns. Offensively, he was still a bit confused. “Rondo was a huge help,” he said of getting him into the right spot. He mentioned he knows a lot of the sets, but it’s the second or third iteration within those sets that he was getting help with. Tyson said he doesn’t have his legs yet, but feels like that will come to him in a few weeks. Old guys need a bit of time to warm up! The Lakers went into this season with a massive hole at the C spot. Glad they were able to fill it so soon. The Stats: He scored 2 points on 1-4 shooting to go with 9 boards (5 offensive), 1 turnover and 3 fouls in 23 minutes. He was a +6. The Action: He couldn’t handle a couple of bounce passes that probably should have been lobs. Nice D on Towns on iso, forcing him into a brick. He missed a tip. He missed a couple more tips. He tipped in Rondo’s missed drive. Moving screen, offensive foul. Second Half: Nice job holding position in the post and forcing a turnover. He kept two offensive boards alive in the final minute.

Stephenson -- -- Short night for Lance with just 4 minutes and missing three shots during that stretch. The Rondo/Stephenson lineup is a little awkward at times as both need the ball in their hands. The Stats: He didn’t score on 0-3 shooting (0-1 from three) to go with 1 board and no fouls in 4 minutes. He was a -2. The Action: He missed a pull-up 17-footer working off a high screen . He missed a drive, looked fouled. He missed a wing three trying to beat the shotclock. Second Half: He did not play in the second half.

Caldwell-Pope -- -- Light minutes as well for KCP. He sank a three and a midrange jumper. Played some reasonable D, but did nothing particularly amazing on either end for Luke to want to keep him in there. You think about Hart scoring 21 in just 21 minutes…and how you’ve got Stephenson and KCP playing a combined 17 minutes. You’ve probably got to find Hart more minutes from somewhere when he’s doing it like this. The Stats: He scored 5 points on 2-4 shooting (1-3 from three) to go with 1 board and 1 foul in 13 minutes. He was a +1. The Action: He sank a wing three (looked confident on that one). He moved in off the three line and hit the open midrange jumper. He missed a sideline three. Second Half: He missed a deep three in early offense. He drew an illegal screen foul to get a stop.

Walton -- -- Lakers down 9 when Chandler came in with 3 minutes left in the first quarter. Rondo and Hart also in to go with LeBron and Kuzma… Lakers down 3 when Stephenson came in for LeBron with a minute left… The Lakers trailed 32-30 after the first quarter… Chandler, Hart, Stephenson, KCP, Rondo lineup… Down 5, Chandler out for McGee. Stephenson out for Ingram… They tied it up and forced a timeout… Luke called a timeout as Rondo was trying to organize something and players were standing around… Chandler in for McGee… Kuzma and LeBron in for Hart and KCP… Lonzo finally back in for Rondo to have the starters with Chandler with 4:47 left down 1… Down 3 when McGee returned for Chandler with 3 minutes left… The Lakers trailed 66-65 at the half. Lakers gave up 11 threes in the first half…. Down 1 when LeBron and McGee sat after 5 minutes for Hart and Chandler. Interesting early sub of LeBron there… James back at the 4:37 mark for Kuzma. So we keep Hart at SF in both these lineups. Rondo in for Ball... Ingram out for KCP… The Lakers trailed 88-86 heading into the fourth… He started a Chandler, LeBron, Hart, KCP, Rondo lineup… McGee in for Chandler... Lakers up by 6… Kuzma and Ingram in for Hart and KCP up 2… TWolves timeout after the Lakers hit a three to go up 3 with 4:02 left… Chandler in for McGee… They edged the lead up to 4 and forced a timeout with 2:39 left. I’d take out Rondo here for D… He brought in Hart for Rondo with 9 seconds left…

Thanks DB!
First!!

I was a bit concerned about Luke playing Tyson right out of the gates before he's familiar with the play sets and teammates. I'm impressed with how Chandler took that role on, played 23 minutes, and played a big role in us winning this game. Including playing defense away from the rim at the end of the game, which i really didn't expect.

Hart is clutch as ever.

48 minutes of big ball and a win. How about that.

And an excellent write up as always DB!

Thanks DB

Kuz lack of rebounding continues

Hart breaks out maybe this is what he needed.

BI stepping up on the all round

Love having Chandler.

Lots of good things but still some concerning things.

More Lonzo less Rondo a good start.

Thanks DB. Much needed win. I found this Tweet interesting, concerning Zo vs Rondo:

Quote:
Tyson Chandler says Rajon Rondo was “a huge help” to him in his debut: “He was vocally telling me where to go all the time.”

https://twitter.com/gregbeacham/status/1060421062540705792?s=19

Maybe this is why Rondo played more than Zo did - especially when Tyson was on the court? We gotta get Tyson up to speed quick. Rondo is basically coaching him up on the court. That's invaluable IMO. The offense isn't exactly like last year's so that kind of gives Rondo a leg up on Zo knowledge wise. No?

Wins are always nice. Hopefully, the center position is now filled appropriately.

Ball and Rondo went for a combined 48 minutes, scored 5 points, shot 2/13 (0/4 from 3 and 1/2 from ft), had 11 rebounds, 16 assists and 6 turnovers. That shooting from the point guard position has got to improve.

Lonzo should be the one doing this.

Lonzo doesn’t have that take charge of a situation kind of personality, to me.

I wish he did or that he learns this soon, because you know, he’s kind of our point guard.

Bye.

Thanks DB.

1. Lonzo was aggressive which I like but his shot was not falling. Would still like to see him run the offense more in the half court.

2. Chandler was YUGE out there. McGee did not look like death warmed over late in the game due to Chandler taking over some of the load late. The offensive boards late in the game were the difference between winning and losing. As DB pointed out +6 when Chandler was out there. Way better than Williams / Kuzma at C late in the game.

3. Liked the "shooter lineup" of Hart, KCP, Stevenson, Rondo (OK he is not really a shooter but) and Chandler. 4 small guys to space the floor who can aggressively guard players on the perimeter when they have a big like Chandler to guard the paint if someone gets by them.

4. I have to go back to the tape but I remember Stu saying Luke pulled Lance for some boneheaded play. I like that. You don't execute the game plan and do stupid stuff you should go to the bench. Vets like Lebron and Rondo had to like that.

Encouraging that they found a way to win. On the other hand, still a concern that opponents (outside of @portland) are shooting this well from 3.

Encouraging that they found a way to win. On the other hand, still a concern that opponents (outside of @portland) are shooting this well from 3.

We won a game vs a team that hit 20 3s by out rebounding them (47 to 40) due to our size and athleticism. Couple that with the fact we are #1 in the league in paint points (63ppg last I checked) and our 3pt shooting is improving. I think there will be an interesting game on December 25th

Lakers will be a better team by Dec 25.

Will be interesting to see what happens because I think the Warriors are better at protecting the paint than the likes of Minnesota. Going to have to hit 3s against GSW. Looks like Hart is ready

Thanks DB!

I loved how Tyson would not budge after being bumped by KAT on a couple of post up plays.

Amazing that LBJ can post a near 3x2 and make it seem so casual. I don't dig that he played 39 minutes, but it really didn't seem that he over-exerted himself. Just a great player making things look easy.

With Chandler, the Lakers are getting the max out of the center spot. Good D, clogging the middle, baskets at the rim. Ty bodied up on KAT very well when KAT tried to post him up. JaVale got his rim runs. Together they nullified KAT, who had a great 1stQ, then was silenced.

BI, Kuz and Hart = youth served. Each had his moment to shine in this game. Just consistently bring it.

Lonzo, I think, is still trying to figure out how to play with LBJ. In open court, ball in his hands, Lonzo makes great decisions (love the vision on the zip pass to BI for a dunk). In halfcourt, he defers way too much, almost to the point of being invisible and a non-threat on the floor. Luke has to call plays for him to get him interested. He and Rondo combining for 2/13 means we're better off with neither of them shooting, but Rondo is at least a willing shooter whereas Lonzo is a reluctant one. Defensively, maybe Lonzo deserved some time in the 4th to make DRose possibly work harder, but DRose torched Lonzo for 10 in the 1st Q and got into a zone that carried throughout the game.

With regards to Chandler, it's obvious he made an impact with his D, rebounding and toughness. However, I think his veteran status also allowed him to get away with a couple of fouls at the end of the game that might've been called on a less established player. Chandler could've easily been called for a foul for pushing off of KAT although that was kind of 50/50 to begin with since KAT was pushing back. He also could've been called for a foul on Rose during the Wolves' final possession. It looked like Tyson hit Rose's arm on that shot. I know refs swallow their whistles at the end of games, but I also know that vets get a lot more leeway in terms of what they get away with at the end of games.

Minn Shot 20 of 40 from 3 last night an we still won.

That makes me feel so much better about the concern of the 3 ball.

Hoping this helps Luke and the rest of the staff realize we need a solid lineup/ rotation first before we worry about platoon shifts/ experimental lineups/ position-less squads.

I can live with the current wingspan lineup with BI at the SG, but if Kuz doesn't improve his defense and rebounding soon I'd want Hart going in at SG and BI and LBJ each sliding up 1 position. Kuz can be a great scorer, but it means nothing if his man is getting 8-12 extra points a night on put-backs and wide-open 3s.

As of now, my top rotation is:

1 - Lonzo
2 - BI
3 - LBJ
4 - Kuz (but pick up the D and rebounding, kid)
5 - McGee

6 - Hart
7 - Chandler
8 - Rondo
9 - Lance

10 - Svi
11 - KCP

12 - Beasley
13 - Zu

I would swap Svi and KCP spots just because of experience. Svi is still a rookie.

I still wonder what or who would make these Lakers play some defence?
They played some to start the 3rd Q and it payed off.
Of course what Chandler did to KAT was beautiful. There were some other moments of great individual effort.. BI on Butler on some occasions, Lonzo harassing Rose up to a steal. Even LeBron woke up in some moments when he was facing Butler. But only when he was facing Butler. Give the man a challenge....
But then Luke puts Hart on Butler... Butler was simply shooting over Hart.

If we could somehow cut the turnovers to a half... there were so many because of blindly pushing the tempo. You can't play faster than you really can. Lakers sometimes try to do this. Would time cure that?

Great to have a win despite all that. But in long term you can't expect to always overscore the opponent. To an extent, Lakers got lucky.
