Damn, I haven't been back to the US in 8 years. Finally coming home for xmas for 2 weeks. I'm from LA originally, bro/dad still live there but I think I want to be more central (DTLA, K-Town, or anywhere central-ish) and have some flexibility.
This is the best LA forum out there so decided to ask here.
Air BNBs seem very expensive or bad value (I've seen people renting out their children's bedrooms who are away for college for like 200 bucks a night) and hotels seem min. 200 bucks a night.
Already dropped over 2k for a flight, will have to rent a car, would like to save a bit on accomodation. Any recommendations? Any "steal" boutique hotels out there? Thanks, LA fam. |

Central to what areas? Are you going to be heading out to SGV/Pasadena etc? The Century Park Hotel on Olympic in Century City has Rooms for just under $200 including tax. It used to be a Holiday Inn Express. |

This isn't central LA but if you're open to staying about 20 minutes south, the Long Beach aiport Courtyard Mariott (on lakewood blvd) has rooms that average $150/night. I can vouch for the place as well as the area. 405 adjacent, great amenities, new beds/bathrooms, nice staff. _________________ "All wars are civil wars, because all men are brothers."

Where do you need to be? That's how you should decide. |
