Yes, I think he easily gets in. Getting into the HOF in basketball isn't as difficult as other sports, namely baseball. So many players today that we think of as great in baseball will never be in the hall of fame, but in the NBA a lot of the players will be in.

Westbrook is basically a better version of Iverson, who got it easily.

Yes. I know Westbrook bashing is in, but he's a beast. He has an MVP, 2 1st team All-NBA, will probably be top 10 in assists, top 25 in steals, while being the best rebounding guard ever?

This is a ridiculously easy question to answer and I don't even like Russ - Yes, he will get in 1st ballot with Harden who I also dislike (just don't like the flopping style - give the dude techs for falling on every 3 pointer).

A better question to answer would be, will D Rose make the HOF given every MVP makes it in. I'm somewhat inclined to say no, but G Hill made it in. Maybe if D-rose didn't choke that NCAA ship away or he continues the resurgence of this year for a few more years. I'm sure someone will prove me wrong citing some stats, but to me, D-rose = Penny. Absolute beast during the early days, would have been a Top25ish player if not for injuries.

Penny Haradway is a good comparison. Of course, Rose is having a surprising revival season, so if he has a couple of all-star seasons he could sneak in.

I think D-Rose gets in if he manages to win the 6th Man of the Year this year.

Yeah Rose is going to be an interesting case. If he has a bit of a career revival and keeps up this current pace for another 3-4 years, I think he goes to the side of likely getting in. If this proves to be his high-water mark for a comeback and he falls off again after this (either due to injury or just poor performance), then it could be much more tricky.

Penny never won a league MVP though. Even if DRose falls off tomorrow, he can still make it as a guy who had it all going for him and got stopped by injuries.
