Dog is back on WGN with Dog’s Most Wanted. Tough season losing his wife within it. I’ve been a fan since he went to Mexico and caught that scumbag Andrew Luster.

Finished The Boys. It was great. The actor who plays Homelander is fantastic.

Homelander is Lucas Hood from Banshee. I didn't realize it under I finished the season and saw an article that pointed it out. If you haven't watched Banshee, I recommend checking it out.

I tried watching the much hyped Carnival Row on Amazon Prime. It looks fantastic but I don't know if can get past my dislike of Orlando Bloom as an actor. He's often cast as these battle-hardened characters but he's just not convincing to me even as he's gotten older.

It took me a few episodes to realize it was him also, and I was a huge fan of Banshee. I knew I recognized him, but could not put my finger on who he was at first.

It's freaking hilarious.

SPOILER ALERT:

I think there were a few reasons - all having to do with further punishing Billy. He wanted to prove that 1. the sex was not only consensual but that Billy's wife initiated it. 2. that she had Homelander's baby. 3. that she chose to turn her back on Billy and let him think she was dead this whole time.

If he kills Billy then he saves him from the awful truth. Right now he is just a cat torturing a pesky mouse.

I love it. I look forward to it more than Succession now, tbh. Danny and Adam play perfectly off of each other. The sister too. And Goodman is as good as ever with his occasional Walter Sobchak moments.

I was thrilled to see Walton Goggins join the cast too.

that is how I took it also....about the relationship being consensual, but someone told me I was wrong, that it clearly was forced. Still not over them killing off Elisabeth Shue's character.

With all the evil stuff Homelander is planning, Madelynn would have just gotten in the way with her single-minded corporate branding. She had to go. Still, it was an interesting season watching her manipulate him with that whole twisted sexual/mommy relationship. At first, I thought Homelander was the father of Madelynn's child.

Yep, the casting is perfect and the performances are exceptional.

I have not got through more than a scene or two without laughing from the very first scene of the wave pool activating during the baptisms. I can almost laugh at Danny McBride without him doing anything and just a perfect role for Devine. The one that has blew me away with her timing is Edi Patterson....she is as funny as anyone.

OK. Not a fan of Goodman and McBride is hit and miss with me but I'll give it a look. It looks like they're in less than half the episodes.

think that is just IMDB listing as they go....they are the stars. Goodman, McBride, Devine and Patterson will be on every episode. McBride is the creator....so you may not care for if you are not a fan of his.

another comedy I mentioned was Kirsten Dunst's new show, On Becoming a God in Central Florida, which comes on Showtime. It is a little darker type of comedy.

The ending of episode 4 of Peaky Blinders was fire! Every year there is a new season it's always makes my list of top 10 drama shows of the year. Amazing it's been so great for so long.

If you are looking for decent series to watch before the fall schedule begins.....the 8 part mini-series that originally aired on BBC and then Starz picked it up...."MotherFatherSon" with Richard Gere, Helen McCrory and Billy Howle.
