The only beef is his health. A legitimate concern tbh. Guy can't stay healthy.

Kyrie and Kawhi both have a short shelf life remaining on those legs. But we don't need them for more than 4-5 years tbh. Cash out as many rings as we can with the big 3 using load management to our advantage

I don't want Irving. He is overrated and a bad fit for this team aside from his shooting. We would be a much better team if we used the cap on a couple of good role players compared to using it on Irving.

I actually think he's a pretty good fit. He's not just a 40% shooter from 3 but he's a crafty finisher around the rim. We went from having a lot of ball handlers around Lebron to none. We need someone else to handle the ball and Kyrie is the best in the business when it comes to that. I'm not worried about his fit as much as I am about his health. He's 27 and already has questionable knees.

Same exact thought I have on him.. If it wasn't for the pretty extreme health concerns when talking about a max contract it would be a pretty easy decision.

I'd personally prefer them to go after some depth if they feel they can sign some solid player using it but if they did sign Kyrie I wouldn't be that upset just more so worried that all 3 of our max guys could get injured and nobody would be even slightly surprised. At least with Kawhi we're talking about very possibly the best player in the NBA.

Hopefully Lebron has already got a few solid vets to think about signing minimum deals with us regardless of what else happens.

If you can get Irving for a couple of seasons before he turns 30, you do it. No brainer. Dude shows up when it matters.

Pretty strange that we might end up with both AD and Kyrie. That is insane. When Kobe was dying in the last two seasons. AD and Kyrie were at the top of my pipe dream list. Bron is just icing.

Lol so we've come to a situation where it could be:

If Kyrie doesn't go to the Nets, he goes to the Lakers and DLo stays in Brooklyn

If Kyrie DOES go to the Nets, DLo might return to the Lakers

woo wee

Based on that Bruin guy’s twitter, advanced stats has Kyrie elite on offense, average on defense. It has DLO average on both. I really want DLO, but if the metrics are right, then Kyrie is the right choice.

Yeah Kyrie is obviously above DLo as an acquisition. Elite offensive player who's worked well with Bron in the past. No brainer if you're able to get him.

The argument for mine is whether you'd rather max out 23 year old DLo for 27mil, or 30-ish year old Butler/Kemba for 32mil. For me, that's DLo every day of the week

But Kyrie would be a superb get, it really all depends on what KD does at this stage, though

Scoop B says the Lakers might be pivoting from Kyrie and looking to either Jimmy Butler or DLo instead. The great thing about this is that nobody know what the Lakers are going to do.

They have plan A-L outlined.

Not a Scoop-B fan.

I figure they know they have Irving locked up.

The media has linked almost every big free agents with the Lakers. Either the media is clueless or the front office is.

Tbh, I don't mind the KD/Kyrie to Nets and Kawhi to Raptors scenario, though obviously I'd prefer to have Kawhi and Kyrie would still be an exciting addition (I go back and forth on him ). Anything but Kawhi to the Clippers, and I still get joy out of Kyrie leaving the Celtics and not going to the Knicks...

Yup! Kyrie is way better than Dlo on both ends and would be the perfect 3rd piece because of his championship experience and chemistry on court with Bron. After Kawhi, Kyrie is the next best FA.
