Yup! Kyrie is way better than Dlo on both ends and would be the perfect 3rd piece because of his championship experience and chemistry on court with Bron. After Kawhi, Kyrie is the next best FA. |
What about the metrics on Kyrie's knees? |

| All of the max stars we are targeting except for Kemba have a concerning injury history: Kyrie, Jimmy Butler, Kawhi, Dlo, KD (achilles), Klay (ACL). Even non stars that LG has floated around like Middleton and Brogdon have had injury histories. Harping on Kyrie's knees is disingenuous when at the same time you are all for those other players. |

Kyrie brings too much drama. Exciting player to watch and great for the league but too mercurial for this squad.
He's already an all-time Laker great in that he's f**ed over Ainge and Boston and tossed ice-cold water on their title hopes (Remember when Bill Simmons proclaimed they'd be the "team of the 2020s?" 67 wins? next team to win a title after the warriors? I remember). |

Outside of Kawhi... Kyrie is the absolute best fit with the Lakers.
If we can't get either of these...I move to DLO for the $23 mil per year with $9 mil left over to pursue a defensive wing man.

That would be my #1 reason to go after him. Number 2 is pretty much the same reasons I would give for going after Kemba or DLO.

For me, the 1st option is easily Kawhi followed by the 2nd option of two solid players to fill out our starting lineup. If DLo is affordable enough to be one of those two new starters, I'm good with that. I prefer those two scenarios to Kyrie.

This is all click bait at the moment. Folks just calling their shots and seeing if it lands. Just yesterday(?) Broussard said Kawhi doesnt want to be a Laker. Today (?) a report says otherwise. Same with rest of these guys.
Bottomline is that things got quiet during the FA period so folks start rehashing the same stuff and present it in different packaging.
Good news: We will know alot more on Sunday, and even one week from now, that will be much more certain |

We'll see. Klay is one of the best 3pt shooters in league, but he'll be out for a while. It'd be great if we had the $$ to build a team and wait for Klay but I doubt it.

Outside of shooting Kyrie is a poor fit for the Lakers. He sucks on D, he is a ballhog and he is useless when the ball is out of his hands, he is not a good point guard, and he is injury prone. This team would be much better by spending the cap room on a few good role players compared to using it on Kyrie. Kyrie would still be good on the team because of the spacing he provides plus our lack of depth would give Kyrie the ball, but it would not be a wise use of cap room. Outside of getting Leonard we should target 3D players, a backup point guard and center.

Seems far-fetched but that’d be a coup for the Warriors, who are capped out regardless, to get an asset like DLO for a guy that would be leaving regardless. Why would the Nets or DLO do that though? |
