nothing big this summer because of wifes new job makes it hard to take extended vacations so only doing some local stuff
already did a weekend getaway to Vegas hitting up all the kid friendly stuff. Was hard as hell going to vegas without having a single drink or gambling a single cent.
Coming month we have a 3 day getaway at Hotel del Coronado in San Diego. And thats about it so far.

July: Vegas for the usual several days of summer league, then NYC for several days, then hiking in Catalina (Two Harbors) with the kids a few days, then back home before going back to Catalina. Aug: taking my son to college.

I remember the restaurant at Two Harbors being pretty good.

Vegas next week! Cannot wait since it will be a much-needed respite from work. Looking forward to trying the Fremont Street Zipline and watching a cirque show.

Just don't go too hard and miss your flight that your company paid for like I did several years back

France - I have conditional tix for the World Cup semis and finals (if the US gets that far, then I get to buy them). My daughter has been bugging me for 4 years to take her, and we're actually able to make it happen.

I went to Mykonos, Greece this past weekend.

How did you like Mykonos?

I liked it much more than Santorini...

I had plans to travel to Thailand and I realized them!!! I have just returned from a 2 week stay in Phuket of which one was in an Airbnb. It was a luxurious three bedroom, 4 bathroom house with big pool and all the mods cons - ideal for an extended family or even a few couples. Much cheaper than comparable hotel accommodation. Excellent experience. But prior to renting out any accomodation, read as many reviews as possible through defferent booking sites

Yeah, Thai is great! Used to spend my summer there for the last 5-6 years. This summer was in Tanzania, climbed Kili. That was a really exotic holiday ) Here is an extended guide about the options one can have there and basic peculiarities of climbing Kili in case you will want to check this sort of holiday yourself. Unforgettable!
