Looks like his body needs adjusting to the new weight, and that he's playing a position that's not natural for him(which is what everyone has said about him playing center to those that will listen). _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Still a top ~25 player imo
Well, still under 30 & since winning a ring he has even more to prove!
Has he become soft, unmotivated, etc…
Need to build up that body AD for the long run of 30+ or we’re in bad shape. _________________ My Laker squad.

AD might want to stop pretending he can shoot threes. He’s inconsistent, at best. A last resort weapon to pull out on occasion, but he definitely isn’t good enough to be running plays to get him 3s consistently.

I'm not a fan of either him or Westbrook pulling up for a three in transition or early offense. Just handing the ball over to the team. AD/Russ can get those shots anytime...just got to a pick and pop late in the offense between the two and it's likely there.

Actually I would like AD to pop 4-5 per game. I believe he is capable of 37%. He has the shooting touch to reach this level. How big was that game winner over Denver!

I'm kind of split on this honestly.. In the Bubble he was absolutely lights out and no doubt elite on the perimeter but he has not really reached that level for any kind of extended period before or since.
I agree, I hate seeing both of those guys taking 3's in transition but am not against either of them taking a decent amount of "wide open" 3's in catch and shoot scenarios and have confidence even Westbrook could have a career year in percentage if he went all in with this rule but that's probably expecting a bit too much for a veteran that's been doing it for a long time. I just hope the transition and contested 3's are not frequent and i'll be satisfied.
I think Westbrook could hit that 33-36% area if he plays smarter with all the talent we have. I agree that AD completely has the potential to hit the high 30's if he doesn't fall in love with the 3 and take a bunch of unnecessary tough shots as well which really hurt him last season when he came in a bit out of shape and looking to "take it easy" to start the season. He's a completely different perimeter shooter when he gets a few easy ones or some free throws first imo.
Why the hell did they encourage him to shoot threes? They've ruined him. Was he shooting three in New Orleans? He's gone from a dominating player with a deadly midrange jumper and post-up to a softie who hangs around the three point line avoiding contact. If I wanted a 3-pt specialist, I'd sign Hield or something.
AD's threes would never open up his game for him because opponents would just let him have the wide open three all day everyday. My point is opponents do not respect his three point shot unless he starts taking like 10 of them a game making a decent percentage. Do we want to turn AD into a three point specialist? Didn't think so either. _________________ LeGoat! LeMazing! LeGend!

We shouldn't turn AD into a 3-point specialist, but he's so versatile that we do want him to shoot some of them as long as he makes them.
Second half of the championship season and in the playoffs he shot at least 37-38% from downtown. That shows us that he has the ability to do that for an entire season. But I don't know if he put in any work on his 3-point shot this summer.
Don't like them forcing the ball in to AD's hands. I think AD need to keep his game simple. Pick and roll, pick and pop, alleyoops, and dump offs. There's no need to get him in one on one situation or post ups.

disagree. this team's ceiling is AD. he needs to get to the top of the mountain again
he's best on the move, in rhythm. his standstill game has been rough.

most important thing is he's active on defense
That's what I'm saying... They need to keep his game simple. Pick and pop where he doesn't need to dribble will be good for him. Just catch and shoot on rhythm. Roll to the basket for easy dunks and lay in.
That should also keep him fresh on the defensive end... Post ups and his iso requires too much energy and toll to his body.
