You have to have faith that he can rebalance his game playing off of Lebron, which should cause his TS% to go up nicely.
If you think he's only hardwired to be a 30%+ usage guy who runs PnR every time down the floor, then I definitely see the concern with committing so much cap to a questionable fit. |
This is valid concern because with the Lakers, you know it’s Lebron ball and it’s gonna be like that for at least 32 minutes and more in the playoff. We saw that with BI, he will demand the ball and he will run that PnR all day with AD. Only an injury can change that. He may sit up 5-10 games during the regular season and that’s when you get the most value out of DLo. |
These are good points. Maybe LeBron and AD will attract so much attention that it will be easier for DLo to get free. Then again, when I've watched Steph Curry, he still has to work hard to get "open" on that team. |

Have you people check Dload 3pt % from the corners? |
Yes 40%. Collison is 53% in corner 3s. So what is your point? |

I don't know enough about Cranjis' methodology to know how role would be taken into account in those grades.
But Brogdon is nearly four years older than Russell. I'd be interested to see DLo's BBall Index grades at age 25 playing off Lebron and AD. _________________ Under New Management |

There's also real value in having DLo attack closeouts whereas teams wouldn't really close hard on BI and Lonzo didn't have a midrange game when he did get a hard closeout.
It's going to be on DLo to really move without the ball, though, rather than just relocate. The great thing is that every defender will be eyeballing Lebron and AD, so DLo should have a lot easier time cutting backdoor or setting up his defender for a back pick. |

Re: Collison or Russell, with corner 3s...
just get em both D'lo can be de-facto 2, might be enough money for Collison to come back home and be the starting 1 on a championship contender |

I can see he can get his midrange going but DLo does not attack the rim. That not efficient . He really need to shoot over 40 on his 3s for us since he’s gonna be a liability on defense. |

He's a sufficiently efficient midrange shooter to offset that. _________________ Under New Management |

After blowing out his knee and being injured all the time, Dallas is going to offer Porky 158m over 5 years. That one all star appearance must be why he gets that and DLo will get 10m a year! _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

So just throw the $22 mil at Ariza....hmmmm
The thing about D-Lo is we can also get a Pat Bev($11M)., Brook Lopex(RE), Ariza (Vet Min), Korver(Vet Min), Tristan T.(Buyout) |

Why do we want a player that his own team would rather get kyrie over? Dlo is like option #8 |

Um, because Kyrie brings them KD? If you're going to turn your nose up at players that are < KD + Kyrie, I believe that eliminates the entire league |

Because Kyrie is one of the 15 best players in the world and may entice KD to play with him in Brooklyn. _________________ Under New Management |

There are probably less than five PGs teams wouldn't give up to get Kyrie. And when you consider that getting Kyrie might get the Nets KD as well, it's a no-brainer. |

Nevermind the fact that I think there are better options for us than Russell,
But I haven’t read one compelling reason why Russell should come back after we dumped him. Other than “likes the LA lifestyle”, I wouldn’t want to go back to a past environment that has treated me like crap (in my opinion). If I were him, I’d go to Phoenix or somewhere else other than LAL. |
