Fans hated Clarkson because of his defense. They criticized Hart for playing on a bum knee and not keeping up to their liking. They complain about Kuzma not being a lockdown defender. Based on the past, it probably won't be long before the excited tone in this thread changes 180. |

Those guys were getting big minutes. If Cook is getting big minutes then it means something else went terribly wrong. I will be happy if Cook comes in, forces the defense to honor his shooting range, and then sits back down. He's only here as a floor spacer. |

I was disappointed Quinn was a DNP coaching decision, does anyone know why he didn’t play especially since Stockton got minutes???
They better use this kid, he can play point or SG, I’d rather see him play than Rondo or inconsistent KCP... _________________ My Laker squad.

If he's not healthy, Troy might take his minutes. |

My bold prediction is that when the dust settles, Quinn Cook will end up as our starting PG. I'm rooting for Bradley because I think that upside is the greatest for our season but
Cook is efficient from the field, efficient from the three and efficient from the line. I think his shooting is clearly superior to Caruso, Bradley and Rondo from what we've seen out of those three. _________________ “Life is too short. You have to keep it moving.” - Kobe |

people must realize he's never shot below 40% on 3s in his career... He is far and away our most reliable 3 point shooter _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

Just read up on his wiki. He's been on quite a journey. Can't believe so many teams have passed up on him. Maybe he's a really late bloomer and the Lakers got lucky. It's just one pre-season game so I'll wait for a larger sample size of games. _________________ LeGoat! LeMazing! LeGend! |

I always thought it was hilarious people wanted Caruso to start because he had a small stretch of games where he looked good when the season was already over after being in the g league all of his career.
Cook is a MUCH better player... winner.... champion.
Caruso is end of the bench guy right now. Even below Rondo at this point. But hoping Rondo gets bumped as the season goes on. _________________ I love my Lakies |

I've always thought Cook would be our best option at the 1.. Rondo can run the second unit. |

It's always been Bradley or Cook as the best option for starting pg.
I like Bradley's ability to start and make life difficult on opposing guards... hopefully he can get them in a rut which lasts all game. That and then bring Cook off the bench with this group: Cook, KCP, Kuzma, Dudley, Dwight. Use Rondo selectively with AD for stretches here and there. Rondo should not be starting in front of Avery or taking Cook's bench mins. |

Yea that's the argument for Bradley starting and it makes sense. Either way we're good. But I would agree Rondo shouldn't be starting. |

What I saw of Cook last year, he was really good coming in off the bench in 2nd and 4th quarters, and being the kind of guy who get a good shot, and was very effective taking it to the basket. You want guys in the start of the 4th who can give you quality minutes, make some baskets, and maintain the lead before the big dawgs come back in around the six minute mark. _________________ LAKERS 2019-2020: NBA World Champions! |

Thank you Baby Jesus for our tiny combo guard who can shoot the lights out. Lebron has always played well with players such as MO Williams, Mario Chambers, and Kyrie. |
