I'm not sold on Delanie or McCoy, but the rest look solid!

Had my first draft today. Feel eh about it. Had a few players I wanted that were stolen right before me like Chris Godwin, Curtis Samuel, Josh Jacobs, Dede, Winston, OJ Howard. Oh well, what do you think? Very WR heavy huh? Really hoping AJ Green has a good season because Im not sold on Lockett. Also hope Corey Davis breaks out this year. I realized after taking Reed he just had a concussion so I took Andrews just in case although Im pretty sure I could have had him off waivers. Think Lamar Jackson has Top 5 QB upside and Dak played really well with Aamari so I should be good there. With the gluttony of receivers I have, i hope i can package a 2 for 1 trade later in the season. Oh and I ended up with CMC and DJ since I can keep two of my players from last season

QB Lamar Jackson, Dak
RB CMC, David Johnson, David Montgomery
WR Brandin Cooks, Tyler Lockett, AJ Green, Corey Davis, Geronimo Allison, Allen Robinson
TE Jordan Reed, Mark Andrews

What positions does your league have? League size? Ppr or standard?

I think Lamar has a pretty high floor in spite of a limited ceiling.

Oh yea it's a 12 team league half ppr. 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 R/W/T flex and 1 TE.

Owner of Lamar Miller is hurting for a RB and he has Jameis and Deshaun. Trying to decide if I wanna make a move to get Watson for Montgomery or something

Had my first draft last night. The league settings are so different that I don't mind sharing the results with y'all, even though I'm doing the LG League this year. So it's a 12-team PPR league, but you only get 1 point per 20 yards rushing or receiving, instead of the usual 10, and though you get 6 points for every passing TD, you only get 1 point per 50 yards passing. In other words, catches and touchdowns are at a major premium. As such, I tend to not look at RB's without much of a passing-game role in a league like this. You also draft 3 IDP's. Anyway, this is what I came away with, with the #6 overall pick, and I went WR/WR with my first two picks (DHop at 6 and Julio at 19):

QB: Matt Ryan, Roethlisberger
RB: D. Williams, A. Jones, J. White, Drake, Breida, D. Thompson
WR: Hopkins, Julio Jones, AJ Green, Shepard, John Brown, Hardman
TE: Andrews
K: Elliott
DEF: Philadelphia
D: Darius Leonard
DB: Tyrann Mathieu
DL: Cameron Jordan

You have to start 3 WR, 2 RB, a WR/TE flex spot, and a RB/WR flex spot, in addition to the usual 1 QB, 1 TE, 1 K, and 1 D (and the 3 IDP's). Four QB's went in the first round, which was a bit much, and not only that, but none of those four QB's were named Deshaun Watson. There was also a run on TE's at one point in the middle rounds (3 in a 5-pick span before one of my next picks), and I settled for Andrews. Came away pretty satisfied. Yahoo gave me an "A", so it had to have been great, right?

Had my work draft Saturday and drew the #12 pick.

Here's my roster

QB: Wentz/Darnold
RB: Daivd Johnson/Melvin Gordon/Duke Johnson/Freeman
WR: JuJu/Josh Gordon/Christian Kirk/Vadles-Scantling/Metcalf/DeSean Hamilton
TE: Ertz/Graham
Def" NE

Didn't draft a kicker. Will drop Darnold and grab one.

If available, I’d dump Graham and pick up Goedert. Dude is going to be a beast and a clear top 3 TE if Ertz misses time.

Had my last draft last night. Feel ugh about it. Drafted 11th in a PPR league

QBs--Brees, Rivers
RBs--D. Williams (KC) Duke Johnson, Guice, Pollard, Samuels, Mattison (taking flyers on some that an injury will happen)
WRs--M Thomas, Tyreek Hill, Diggs
TE--Njoku, Reed
D--Steelers
K--Lutz

and for ish & giggles, with my 16th round pick I wasted it on Luck, just wanting to finish my beer and get out of there. lol

Here is my team from my first draft (10 team work league):

QBs - Wentz, Winston
RBs - Barkley, Mixon, Michel, Coleman, Penny
WRs - T. Hill, Diggs, Hilton, M. Jones Jr
TE - Hunter Henry
DEF - Saints
K - Vinatieri

QB looking like a weakness if Wentz gets hurt and Winston plays like Winston has in the past.

Edit: I wanted Mahomes, but someone (who named their team after him) took him as their 8th overall pick.

I'd consider sending Diggs/Guice for a stronger RB (Ingram?) and a weaker WR combo (maybe Corey Davis). I like Diggs too, but your other WRs are stronger.

Came across this situation and wanted to know what you guys would do in my place

I got a league and one of the owners is not able to attend the draft. Instead he said he would have a mutual friend do the draft for him. That mutual friend is a lot more knowledgeable than him in regards to fantasy football and performs a lot better. Would you guys allow this or not? I am leaning towards not allowing it but wanted to see what others thought.

How else would you do it if you require attendance?

I just ask to be signed on so that we can avoid auto picks. I think a live draft with everyone signed on and drafting instead of auto picks makes things more exciting. But if you cant live draft, then you'll have to rely on auto picks. I just dont know how i feel about having someone else draft for you. Seems like a cop out since I know the owner and who he conveniently suggested draft for him.

What's the harm? Most leagues are won on the waiver wire anyway.

Ok in that case I agree with you.

I am in a league that requires in-person attendance as it is a live, offline draft. So there is no good way to autodraft in that setup so we allow proxies.

But what would be the difference if he said he could draft and he had his friend right there to draft with him?

I appreciate your guys' input. That's what I wanted..other perspectives. I did offer him changing the draft time to accommodate him but if nothing works, then I might begrudgingly let him have someone else draft for him ha

Well, so I am in one league with a couple who suck and always end up drafting a crap team. If they have a pro drafting for them, who knows all th sleepers and stuff, they are getting players they would have never taken

I think as long as you are consistent, its fair. If its you must draft yourself only or autodrsft thats fair.

But if you’d take issue only if the replacement drafter is better than the original, I think that is self serving and probably wrong.

Had my big money Live draft on Saturday. Picked 8th out of 10. Think I did OK, I went RB heavy to start and may have hurt myself.. but we'll see.

Had a family emergency yesterday and ended up missing the LG league draft... I don't even want to look at my team yet.

We play : QB / 2RB / 2WR / 1TE / 1FLEX / Kicker / DEF

QB: Rivers / Winston
RB: Chubb / Fournette / Aaron Jones / Miles Sanders
WR: Julio Jones / Diggs / Alshon Jeffrey / Allen Robinson / Geronimo Allison / Desean Jackson
TE: Delanie Walker / Trey Burton
K: (empty)
DEF: Rams

Had my last draft of the year last night, the biggest league that I'm in. This year will be our 22nd. It's an auction league with 8 owners, but we've always started 2 QB's (we changed the 2nd QB slot officially to a Superflex slot this year, but you'll start a QB there 99% of the time unless there's a bye week issue), and this year we also changed from standard-scoring (non-PPR) to a .5 PPR system. You start the 2 QB's, 2 RB, 3 WR, a RB/WR/TE/K flex spot, a TE, and a K. Oh, and we base our title on total points, not H2H, though we do have a separate H2H league, with prize money for that as well. This is what I came away with, and it's the best I've felt after a draft in this league in years. (I have won this league 8 times, but only 1 of those titles has come since 2010.)

QB: Mahomes, Wentz
RB: Chubb, Montgomery, Duke Johnson, J. White, D. Thompson, Penny
WR: Godwin, Cooper, Edelman, Golladay, Boyd, R. Anderson
TE: Howard, Cook
K: Butker

Auctions always yield strange results. McCaffrey went for 9 dollars more than any other player. We have a $150 salary cap (not actual dollars, but it's what we use), and Barkley ($44), Zeke ($40), and Kamara ($42) had already been bought. Then McCaffrey came up, and two owners got into a bidding war. That happens! I paid $36 for Mahomes and thought that was really light. He was one of the first players thrown out. Sure enough, a while later, Watson ended up going for $34. I didn't even plan on getting Mahomes, but it just felt like too much value. I've paid well over $40 for Rodgers in this league before. (The top QB's are worth a lot in a 2-QB format, basically the opposite of a 1-QB league.) You truly never know what is going to happen. I've seen years where the first few players go for what seems like very high costs, and then other years it's the complete opposite.

I just have to decide who I want to start in Week 1 at the flex between Duke Johnson (might be a workhorse early), White (you know what you're getting), or Golladay (absolutely love the matchup, as the Cardinals are down both starting CB's).

The primary league I'm in has been doing a snake draft for 10 years. But, auction draft seems more fun and a better way to construct your team the way you want it.

It's a (2) keeper league (max of 3 years), which everyone likes. For those is Auction leagues, do you have keepers? How is that done?

Knew he was a bust this year. Guy is a head case, and I avoided him in all my leagues since his talent no longer outweighs the headache.
