Thats a very good point. If Ravens go up like I expect them to, they probably won't have Lamar doing much work. Hmmm...

How about this one. Pick one in half PPR
Duke Johnson @ NO
Calvin Ridley @ Min
Curtis Samuel v LAR

Half PPR, I’d probably go with the Duke.

I think it’s the safest play of the bunch. Next Samuel.

I mean they could all do well. They could all suck.

I posted in the NFL thread but...

Antonio Brown has agreed to terms with the Patriots, per source.

I have Brown in a different league. The Patriots is about as good a situation as I could ask for given the circumstances.

Possibly waived/cut.

Knew he was a bust this year. Guy is a head case, and I avoided him in all my leagues since his talent no longer outweighs the headache.

I appreciate AB's effort to get himself to the Patriots. Power move.

I'm in an 8 man league, my team is:
QB Baker Mayfield, Russell Wilson
RB Ezekiel Elliott, Derrick Henry, Melvin Gordon, Mark Ingram, Duke Johnson.
WR Antonio Brown, Calvin Ridley, Mike Williams, AJ Green
TE Travis Kelce, Eric Ebron
K Justin Tucker
DEF Eagles

I basically took every single risk in the book, hoping they'd pan out. So far Zeke has a deal, and AB will be a Pat, just need something to happen with Melvin Gordon, and then AJ to return from injury.

Feel like I'll either finish way down there, or it could all be a masterful strategy, no in-between

Your team looks pretty good. You have 4 legitimately startable RB's in Week 1, and that would be 5 when/if Gordon returns. You're a little light at WR while AB could be slow to acclimate in New England and with AJ out, but you're obviously going to have to start AB in Week 2, assuming he's active.

You should probably drop Diggs and Julio if you have Alshon and ARob anyway.

The best part of fantasy football is drafting. And much like one’s fandom regarding their own real life team, we get to back into arguments that explain why our teams will be so good.

Then, reality strikes. Haha.

Also its week 1 guys... relax.

A lot of weird, outlier stuff happened IMO and it wasnt the studs that put up the top scores.

My Bama boys Derrick Henry and Mark Ingram carried me to a week 1 W. Luckily the guy I played against benched Sammy Watkins (to be fair he did have Amari Cooper & Tyreek Hill so I'd have prob done the same).

Despite a few duds by my starters, I was up 5.15 points heading into MNF. My opponent had the Texans kicker. I thought I was done for. 4 PATs later.... and I squeak out a victory. WOW

All 3 of my teams did so bad, neither the SNF or MNF games had any fantasy implications for me. Hahaha.

I managed to lose in my biggest league by .15 of a point, after being up by 72 heading into tonight. He had Watson, Hopkins, and Latavius Murray. This is a total points league, but starting 0-1 in our H2H portion of the league still stings. I'm trying to tell myself at least I scored a 160 and am off to a decent start in points.

I somehow managed to win in all 4 of my leagues.

So waiver wire pick ups..who is everyone's targets?

TJ Hockenson, he looks like a matchup nightmare
Darren Waller, Carr seems to target him quite a bit
Tyrell Williams might be out there..hes only owned about 60%
DK Metcalf, will it be him and not Lockett who replaces Baldwin?
Jamison Crowder with like 42 catches week 1
Marquise Brown, ABs cousin
Giovani Bernard, will Mixon play week 2?
John Ross
Malcolm Brown
Ronald Jones

I know these aren't available for everyone but who are you prioritizing?

I have my eyes on TJ Hockenson. I don't know if I should use my #3 waiver on him though since I already have Z. Ertz...

I'm not so high on Ertz this year. Think there are way too many mouths to feed in that offense even with that Wentz to Ertz connection. I would pick up hockenson and trade Ertz but thats just me.

For a team that's weaker on WRs but has Gurley as a RB, would you recommend picking up Malcolm Brown?

Also, you don't seem to be to high on M.Brown, the rookie from the Ravens. Do you think his game was just an outlier?

I have priority number 1 and considering between Hock at TE, malcolm brown at RB, or J. Ross/Scary terry/Marquise Brown/Crowder. What would you all do?

Malcolm Brown is in a timeshare so if you get him, he’ll be on your bench right? You should have drafted him anyway, he was the clearcut handcuff.

Marquise Brown is talented no doubt. But his QB can’t consistently throw the ball effectively and he got 12 snaps. Will he get more snaps? Probably. When? And how much more? Who knows.

What I do know is you cannot put up consistent production on 12 snaps a game let alone for a QB who has yet to earn a reputation as a thrower and he probably wont get to play against a team as bad as Miami where half the team wants out.

Is your #1 priority rolling or reset each week? If its rolling, I wouldn’t use it at all this week personally.

I believe it resets every week, so I have no reason to not give it a shot this week. Thanks for the advice man, will probably just go with M. Brown as the handcuff for Gurley since I don't trust those knees.

Sorry for the late reply. That would be my #1 priority esp if it resets each week. In some games, I think you could even play them both.

It’s so tough to gauge the other receivers. Who is actually good and who was a flash in the pan. Malcolm Brown seems to have a defined role. Gurley got no looks inside the 20, I believe Brown got them all.

In one of my leagues, we start 1 WR and one Flex. I started Tyreek at WR and Chubb at the Flex. Left Sammy Watkins and DeSean Jackson on the bench. OUCH!! I still escaped with a win, but I could have coasted if I had started those two.

Another tough decision this week. I have 6 guys for 5 starting spots:
OBJ
J. Jones
C. Carson
M. Ingram
S. Watkins
M.Mack

I think I will bench M. Mack against the Titans.
