right...
I remember their 4 corner defense keeping Giannis out of the paint..spearheaded by a man's very claws
Then you remember wrong. Giannis goes around Kawhi very easily, what deters him are the 2 or 3 defenders behind him.
The media and those who didn't watch the series believe in a myth. People who watched the series know what happened was in fact very different:
"Kawhi did well to stay in front of Antetokounmpo most of the time" .. yea..
of course there's a big team defense factor in guarding Kawhi... but yea..Kawhi deserves a lot of credit
"But when Toronto couldn't set up the wall, Kawhi was actually in trouble".

that's what Raptor fans said last regular season.. and even Nick Nurse said he expected Kawhi to turn it up in the playoffs... and then he did for the MIL series..and when he needed to in the playoffs.
He's not the same athlete he was in San Antone, but lets not act like he wasn't gimpy last post-season too, and put up great performances on both sides of the ball.

Guys are blowing by him pretty easily this year. Yeah sure, we can keep thinking he's doing the rope a dope, we shall see in the playoffs. Clippers do not have the same defensive personnel like the Raptors.

It’s a wishful thinking and all talk. He clamped Giannis when it mattered.
Meh, maybe it is just me, but this performance, getting salvage by the refs time after time, to the Pels, it is no thing to brag/ hype about. That foul called to DFavors boxing out was just ridiculous.

Imagine if Clippers had to play OKC in the 1st Rd. And even worse, imagine the Lakers have to play Pelicans. They getting Zion back and will probably make that 8th spot. Yikes, the pressure on the Lakers if that were to come true.
Nobody should be that terrified of a 19 year old with less than half a season of experience under his belt.
Well, Zion alone, yeah not afraid of him. Point is their team is doing pretty well without him. Lonzo and especially BI are playing well. It would be ultimate egg in the face to lose to them. I'm a bit of a pessimist though. I think of these kind of scenarios. Lol.

The thing is Lonzo has to sharpen his passing game. Too many lazy in the area passes.
KL is finding out how hard it is to remain a great defender with a lot more scoring responsibility put on him. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."
