I remember their 4 corner defense keeping Giannis out of the paint..spearheaded by a man's very claws

Then you remember wrong. Giannis goes around Kawhi very easily, what deters him are the 2 or 3 defenders behind him.

The media and those who didn't watch the series believe in a myth. People who watched the series know what happened was in fact very different:

"Kawhi did well to stay in front of Antetokounmpo most of the time" .. yea..
of course there's a big team defense factor in guarding Kawhi... but yea..Kawhi deserves a lot of credit

"But when Toronto couldn't set up the wall, Kawhi was actually in trouble".

Yep. Checkmate. Case closed.

yes Kawhi deserves minimal credit !

that's what Raptor fans said last regular season.. and even Nick Nurse said he expected Kawhi to turn it up in the playoffs... and then he did for the MIL series..and when he needed to in the playoffs.
He's not the same athlete he was in San Antone, but lets not act like he wasn't gimpy last post-season too, and put up great performances on both sides of the ball.

Guys are blowing by him pretty easily this year. Yeah sure, we can keep thinking he's doing the rope a dope, we shall see in the playoffs. Clippers do not have the same defensive personnel like the Raptors.

It’s a wishful thinking and all talk. He clamped Giannis when it mattered.

Meh, maybe it is just me, but this performance, getting salvage by the refs time after time, to the Pels, it is no thing to brag/ hype about. That foul called to DFavors boxing out was just ridiculous.

Defense, what defense??

Nobody should be that terrified of a 19 year old with less than half a season of experience under his belt.

Well, Zion alone, yeah not afraid of him. Point is their team is doing pretty well without him. Lonzo and especially BI are playing well. It would be ultimate egg in the face to lose to them. I'm a bit of a pessimist though. I think of these kind of scenarios. Lol.

The thing is Lonzo has to sharpen his passing game. Too many lazy in the area passes.

Do the clippers have former clippers doing analysis on the ABC post game show like the Lakers do?

Rockets sure give the Clippers trouble. Too much trouble. We beat them without AD. Just sayin'.

I guess one of the differences is the difference in stars. Harden and Westbrook are far above Kawhi and PG

The Lakers have 12 wins vs .500 teams this season — the most in the NBA.

But..... but..... the Lakers have had an easy schedule......

Now that the Magic player their NBA Finals against the Lakers...they go back to being that irrelevant below .500 team.

Cause guys like Wesley Iwundu had outer body experiences. He scored 19 vs the Lakers he has scored 10 points in the last two games combined.

KL is finding out how hard it is to remain a great defender with a lot more scoring responsibility put on him.

Kawhi's last minutes yesterday were awful. They almost went to overtime because of his bad decissions that were fixed by Lou Williams and Beverly.
