AD - TRUE GAMETIME DECISION

Per McTen

Frank Vogel says that Anthony Davis, who is working out right now, is a game time decision. If he can’t play, then Kyle Kuzma will start. Rajon Rondo will start for LeBron James; KCP will start for Danny Green.

This is probably good enough to handle the big team's starting 5 going tonight.

RAJAN DAY TO DAY

Goodness! I can’t even go out on a Saturday night without some news jumping off.

Per Goon

Rajon Rondo had an apparent finger injury on his right hand, with his ring and middle finger splinted together. Waiting for more info on that. Rondo said it happened in the first half.

https://twitter.com/kylegoon/status/1216208431281065984?s=21

Lakers call this a "strained" ring finger on his right hand. X-rays did not show any fracture. He's day-to-day.

https://twitter.com/kylegoon/status/1216211333567459328?s=21

Rondo joked on this: "That's probably why I missed my last 15 shots."

LE UPDATES

Per McTen

The Lakers have LeBron James (flu) and Avery Bradley (flu) listed as probable for tonight vs. Cleveland and Anthony Davis (bruised buttocks) and Rajon Rondo (strained right ring finger) listed as questionable.

INJURIES FROM THE G LEAGUE SIDE - CACOK

Per Faigen

For those wondering why the Lakers haven't called up Devontae Cacok on his two-way, he's missed the last three South Bay Lakers games with a stress reaction in his foot. The team says he will be out "a few weeks" with the injury.

https://twitter.com/hmfaigen/status/1216802366457991168?s=21

For context, both Talen Horton-Tucker and Kyle Kuzma both were sidelined for months with the same injury, although I don't know how theirs compared to Cacok's, obviously.

Ouch 0.0

Wasn't Kuz out for a couple of months with a stress reaction?

RONDO OUT - AD PROBABLY NOT BUT MAYBE

Per Tania G

Rajon Rondo is out for tomorrow’s game against the Magic. AD is questionable but since he hasn’t taken any contact or done any sprinting yet I wouldn’t be surprised if he is out too.

MORE ON AD

Per Trudelll

Frank Vogel said they’re considering AD to be “day to day,” and echoed what Davis said about his needing to sprint and take contact before playing in a game.

https://twitter.com/lakersreporter/status/1217196949125791744?s=21

Per Tania G

AD spoke to media for the first time since his injury. Said he hasn’t done anything with contact yet, which he’ll need to do before playing. “I’m getting closer to being back on the floor with these guys, but the last three games it looks like they don’t need me,” he quipped.
