SEASON RE-OPENER - AD WILL PLAY AS WILL EVERYONE ELSE
Per CBS
Lakers' Anthony Davis will start vs. Clippers in team's NBA restart opener after injuring eye in scrimmage
https://twitter.com/cbssportsnba/status/1288981241556094982?s=21
Found what I was looking for...
Per Slater
Anthony Davis is officially a go tonight, per Vogel, rounding out the Lakers starters: LeBron James, Danny Green, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Davis, JaVale McGee. Lakers were a good defensive team this season, but that unit wasn't: 113.6 rating in 253 minutes. Worth tracking.

LBJ AND AD PLAYING PLAYING
Per Trudell
Vogel said he won’t “overdo” the minutes for LeBron and AD, but they’ll be playing close to their regular minutes to stay in form heading into the postseason. LeBron averages 34 minutes (which is actually a career low), and AD 35.

I think the Lakers are coasting. They have the #1 spot on lock and there isn’t “home field advantage.” They played their sub units longer last game and against the rockets most of their starters may be out. When you look at it through that lens, it makes sense to rest up for the real war.
What bothers me is they were only good in one game really. They need these last few games to get their rotations corrected and play some good ball. This can still be done with minute restrictions and we really don’t need to break our backs to win but I think they are hurting themselves. They’re betting on themselves to figure it out in the playoffs or get up to go from 0 to 100 and I think that’s a recipe for disaster. |

KCP OUT NEXT GAME
Late pass edition but you know I’ve been out enjoying my weekend and not obsessing over basketball news. So…
Per Tania G
Frank Vogel says KCP will be out tomorrow due to his ankle. “He’s fine, everything came back clean,” Vogel said, but they’ll hold him out.

YOU GET THOSE GOOD VIBRATIONS
Per LakersNation
Frank Vogel said any group spending a lot of time together could lead to tensions rising. And while Lakers are close-knit, Vogel said he's thought about instructing players to take a break from each other, although he hasn't mandated it.
https://twitter.com/lakersnation/status/1292540421982175232?s=21
(in this tweet thread someone posted that a D and LeBron apparently went to dinner together. So clearly whatever issues there are or not between those two )
Per Trudell
JaVale said the Lakers “should be good” once they get everybody back healthy, get the rotation in line, and get the playoffs started. The seeding games have been a lil’ different with guys being out here and there and all the lineups rotating game to game.

RONDO BACK IN THE FIRST ROUND?
Per Haynes as reported during one of the TNT games. Video at link.
My @NBAonTNT report on when Rajon Rondo (thumb fracture) could reenter the bubble for the Los Angeles Lakers.
