Lonzo is still garbage in my opinion.

He's not a PG for a championship team. Doesn't have the killer instinct. Can't trust him to make shots or free throws.

Actually he’s exactly what you want a complimentary pg. and he’s hitting his free throws now along with the deep ball.

Ultimate low USG PG.

Doesn't take a lot of shots.
Ball distribution.
Quick decision making.
Capable of elite defense.
Has 3pt gravity.

I don't see what the problem is. Harden would kill for a guy like that.

Per rumors, Harden asked for Westbrook, not Lonzo.

My definition of elite defense is Glove defense, not just good help team defense.

Anyone missing Zubac? Is he worth $7M/year?

You don’t expect posters to actually watch the players they comment about?

Um, Lonzo is a stud man-defender and team defender.

Glove defense doesn't work anymore. Can't handcheck.

Quote:

Lonzo by far has the best Player Impact Plus-Minus on the team at +1.24 overall (19th in NBA) and a +0.82 offensive PIPM.

https://twitter.com/Tim_NBA/status/1190696193044746250?s=20

Imagine making Top 20 player impact, for how bad Lonzo's individual shooting lines are.

That's how impactful his play is.

I haven't seen anything from those guys that makes me miss any of them - and that's with the acknowledgement that BI is straight balling.

Randle: chase that $ man. Only so many number of games available. But he had to have known that the Knicks would be a tire fire.

DLO: he thought he would be playing with Steph/Dray/maybe Klay and now he's the only one there. Yikes. But he got paid and likely may end up with the Wolves or Suns with two of his best friends.

The Wolves have been impressive in the parts of games that I have watched. Maybe it’s time for their youngsters to make some noise.

Not sure what happened to Lonzo. He was just dribbling down the court slowly and his right leg just buckled...twice.

I thought it might just be cramping because the trainer looked he was trying to stretch his leg rather than evaluate for a sprain. He went to the locker room and didn't return.

Jrue has been injured, and their centers aren't playing well. Their starting center is hobbled.

Horrid FTr.
Can't defend as a unit.

They score 118.3 ppg but give up 122.5 ppg (2nd highest in the NBA).

They just gave up 135 points to the Nets tonight. The third time in six games they've given up over 130 points.

Wasn't a LeBron led team getting smoked last season?

And why were they getting "smoked"?

Their record shouldn't detract from exceptional individual play and talent.

Yeah, people get ridiculous with this "it doesnt count on a bad team" thing.. The Pelicans were already barely a fringe playoff team when fully healthy and they've been hit super hard by injuries and most of the games i've watched they were all close.. It's not like they are getting blown out or anything.

When you see what Ingram is doing, he would still be filling up the stat sheets on any team in the NBA imo.. He'd score less points obviously on better teams but his talent is undeniable at this point.

I think its pretty obvious that these players don't mesh well together. They put up good individual games but whether they are in a Laker or Pelican uniform as a team they just don't fit.
