Yes, like the Lonzo hype. "don't break all my records" - Magic Johnson. What a joke that draft was. Lakers passed up some real talent. |
Especially after Ball tanked a workout with the Lakers. Magic wanted him so badly that he arranged a private workout with no scouts involved. I personally wanted Tatum but there were other good choices. |
Wanted Tatum all day everyday, its ridiculous we did not draft him |

Tatum would have been in NOLA then. |

JR hovered around 39-40% from three for many years. Kuz will be lucky to get to that level. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

This is why I thought the attempt to connect the dots in the DAL loss was silly. We can win in spite of Kuz. He’s basically a free square given his contract.
Unless LBJ or AD are out, Kuz will rarely be the game long reason we win or lose. |

They need to get Kuz rhythm shots his looks are so sporadic he can't get going. Be patient with him he'll come around. Just realize what he is and isn't and you'll be OK. Remember he is a bench player not a starter. He plays behind LBJ & AD. Tough to get good minutes that way. |

Doesn’t read his teammates well, miss tons of open guys underneath the hoops. This guys is a specialist iso, better start raining shots |

It looks like he plays without purpose. I watch him cut without the ball to get open, make a move on his man to receive the ball, etc., but it doesn’t look like he wants the ball. I don’t know whether it is because he feels he can score anytime and anywhere he wants, but from a casual fan watching him play it doesn’t look like he plays with purpose. I read how much effort he puts into his craft — please work on defensive footwork, please, work with Jason Kidd — a player of his caliber shouldn’t be going through the motions out there. He needs to impose his will.

I hope Lakers staff focus on teaching kuz how to defende properly. He has the tools to be a good defensive player. I think it's just the willingness to defend and how to position his feet properly. |

Kuzma needs to strip his game down and focus on just a few simple go-to moves such as a floater, mid range pull up shot, and simply drawing contact in the paint for fouls. He seems to be over thinking out there which is never good for a so-so IQ player _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

Cutting his hair should do wonders.
That and the fact that he's dealing with a sprained ankle. |

See Howard and Caruso |
Exactly, missing shots is one thing but continually looking braindead on both ends and slaughtering possessions is another. Kuz has been displaying some of the lowest bbiq i've seen in awhile, it's been borderline comedic at times.
BTW one of the biggest reasons for his "sporadic" play is that the coach can't trust him.. He would have probably played even less tonight if Caruso wasn't in foul trouble. |

I think one big difference is that Kuz had plays run for him before. Now, he doesn’t. You see a lot of guy, even proven vets, struggle to adapt to this. Like see Conley, Mike for example. To a degree, even Anthony, Carmelo. |

Hollins and Kidd need to sit him down, watch films after films, take his blinders off on offense, position box out, defense without fouling and expanse his iso offense into... better iso offense |
