If this terrorist wasn't a Saudi, Trump would be calling for an all out ban on Muslims. But instead he quickly defended Saudi Arabia, saying "they love the American people".

unless it is a different quote, Trump did not say "they love the American people", but was quoting the Saudi King...

Appreciate defending your Dear Leader, but either claim is preposterous. Saudi's were responsible for 9/11. They dont love Americans.

The critical thing here is not whether Trump said it or whether he simply quoted it. The critical thing is that Trump is beholding to the Saudi's, which is why this administration has done nothing to follow up on Khashoggi murder by the Saudi's.

At no point has this country been as compromised by corruption involving foreign countries than it is now. And people on the Right not only just sit back and accept it, they excuse it and welcome it.

just more bs....was Obama beholding to the Saudi's? Clinton? And you did not open your mouth....just set there, excused and welcomed it. Trump is far from the first US President nor has it been a partisan activity to play very nice with the Saudi royal family. The hypocrisy of the left is mind blowing.

was not defending anyone, I was correcting a fairly large error on your part....assigning words to someone who was quoting another person is two very different things.

Talk about hypocrisy. You just mentioned Clinton and Obama and ignored the Bushes.

But back to the point. It's obviously just not a Saudi issue, it's that Trump is also compromised by the Russians as well. Hence my comment about how things are worse now than they have ever been. Reading comprehension can be your friend if you just get that chip off your shoulder.

Completely negligent and incompetent police work. They are extremely lucky there weren't more bystanders and cops killed by friendly fire.

It's infuriating - endangering lives to retrieve property makes them bad people who don't have the basic common sense or moral decency to be police officers.

I didn't get that at all. I read that he was covering the shift for another driver and he had a regular route as well

Thank you. I only read most articles with lots of trauma instead of watching any video of the events.
I'll go read more. I very well could be wrong.

found the info.. I had only read info from night it happened so was probably incorrect

Quote:

Ordonez’s favorite pastime was being with his two daughters, ages 3 and 6, his brother Roy Ordonez told CNN. He also liked to fish and play basketball and video games. He was filling in on Thursday for a driver who had called out of work, CNN reported.

His brother is slightly pissed off
Quote:

On a GoFundMe page that had raised more than $60,000 by Friday afternoon, Roy Ordonez wrote that his brother had been gunned “down like a criminal by the Florida police.” He asked people to share the fundraising page to “make people aware of trigger happy police officers.”

“They could have killed many more people, could have been one of your loved ones,” Roy Ordonez wrote. “Please don’t let my brother’s death be for nothing. Police need to be held accountable.”

There have been media reports that the Saudi gunman may have bought the pistol after obtaining a hunting license. When asked about that on Monday, the ATF declined to comment.

As for why Alshamrani's purchase of a Glock pistol on the strength of a hunting license might not have raised any alarms, the former ATF agent Vince said, "People do take handguns when they do hunt — especially if you're hunting wild boar or something. That's not uncommon."

NPR has been in touch with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission about what type of hunting license the Saudi military service member might have obtained. We'll update our reporting when the agency responds to that inquiry.

Who didn't update this loophole?

I'm stupefied as to how long this cna keep going on. You just KNOW they're going to defend themselves with generic platitudes like "interest of public safety", "violent criminals off the street". Oh and "FREEDOM!" That one is the doozie if you want to rile up the mouth breathing boot lickers.

Police May Have Shot Over 200 Rounds During Firefight With Suspects Who Hijacked UPS Truck

Now, some grim statistics about the incident have been revealed. A total of 19 officers, from five different agencies, shot at the carjacked UPS truck, CBS Miami reports. Officers came from Miami Dade PD, Pembroke Pines, Florida Highway Patrol, and Miramar. While exact the number of shots fire isn’t known, the total could be over 200 rounds.

I did not mention the Bush's because that would have been my turn to keep my mouth shut and accept it....not yours. As I said, in my life as an adult, no administration has not played very nice with the Kingdom and it's leaders. I am not a fan of Saudi Arabia on many fronts nor do I support selling our soul for Saudi oil....but I do understand it is complicated in a region where we have few allies.
