Yes.

Almost every movie I turn to my wife and say "this could be improved with 5-10 minutes of full penetration"

But also...

Good for you two

Unfortunately all the gratuitous T&A, softcore, and flaccid peen shots have migrated to HBO and Showtime while kids these days grow up watching movies with hot stars playing asexual superpowered people. The MCU should be like the Olympic village for fluid swapping. Chris Hemsworth shows more skin as the King of Asgard than he does in Blackhat, but the nerdy computer hacker in the latter movie clearly has had more hot sex - even in prison - than MCU Thor has ever had in his millennia-spanning life. Give me Body Heat not another Batman who doesn't skeet.

Anyway, Cruising (1980) should play unedited on basic cable constantly.

Wow. Cruising. Now thats a title I never expected to read. Pacino was once amazing.

I like the boardroom scene where Danson sits in the far corner as everyone else in the room lights up their 1981 smoking devices. When offered a cig, he says, "No, thanks...I'll just breathe the air."

That was also when Turner and Rourke were their young and living selves. So sad what happened to them. Smoking no doubt didn't help matters.

It feels like one of those cheesy local broadcasts that takes place as post-game filler in smaller markets.

Libertarian is a term for those too cowardly to (straight-out) say minorities get what they deserve.

Business owners always talk about the scarifices they make to make a business work, and feel they are therefore entitled to the lions share of the spoils if successful, but the reality is that if everything goes horribly wrong, the business fails, the owners go bankrupt and have no cash or ability to access capital, they are basically right at the same place their employees already are.

Do you agree with Rachael Nichols? Am I missing an underlying inference?

They were objecting to a production edict from executives that they believed was issued to benefit a sideline reporter and fellow star, Rachel Nichols, despite comments she had made suggesting that the host of “NBA Countdown,” Maria Taylor, had gotten that job because she is Black. Nichols is white.

Quote:
“I wish Maria Taylor all the success in the world — she covers football, she covers basketball,” Nichols said in July 2020. “If you need to give her more things to do because you are feeling pressure about your crappy longtime record on diversity — which, by the way, I know personally from the female side of it — like, go for it. Just find it somewhere else. You are not going to find it from me or taking my thing away.”

Looks like Rachael stepped in it. Malika Andrews is doing the sideline reporting.

Is there an anecdote you can think of that illustrates your point?

I love how we give each other $hit in the off topic section of this site.

Reminds me of the Lounge when I joined or even before that when I lurked.

Is it controversial to say the Lounge is soft nowadays? Compared to the past.

My problem with rachel situation is that Stephen A Smith, live on air sympathized with a wife beater. Said women shouldnt provoke their men.

he got a slap on the wrist . Michele beadle publicly disagreed with him and she was slowly relieved of duties.

Maria taylor a week prior to rachel incident was said that she might not return to espn because she was asking for more money than being offered. A week later the tape.

It is what it is. I like rachel, she was clearly frustrated and she put ESPN on blast for their "diversity".

We see now how stephen A is part of the UFC. WTF!!! he is horrible but because the wife beater sympathizer and guy who said women shouldnt be in UFC checks a lot of boxes for them hes there. UFC fans dont like him at least none that i know and I know a lot. He cant really speak on the sport with any real authenticity so its clear how ESPN rolls. He doesnt make it mainstream. Conor does. Nate does. Rose, Jon (if he would ever fight), rhonda did etc.

I am curious if stephen A gets his wrist slapped for his comment Ohtani. My previous post noted how he was barely disciplined for a gross outburst live on air. now this.

The fact that Ohtani needs an interpreter is amazing and highlights the diversity of the game.

I hope doesn't get a pass on this. He deserves to be called out for his ignorant and xenophobic comments

I sometimes wonder why SAS is allowed to be so racial. He's always commenting on racial issues.

He says there should be more front office opportunities for Blacks. His reason is the NBA is 75% Black. He's constantly saying Black coaches don't get the same opportunities as their White counterparts.

He cited Steve Nash as an example. He didn't say Steve didn't deserve the job. His reason was Black coaches don't get ready made contenders like first time head coach Nash. He carries that over into the NFL.

Next season will say a lot about Nash. If the dynamic trio stays healthy and they don't win a ship a lot of blame will fall on Steve. Making the playoffs with that trio healthy won't be enough. It's ship or bust. Steve is in a hellofa position.
