NPZ is a reference to Sky calling JD a player-zealot meaning "Kobe zealot", that's all. They happened to be doing battle on 11/5/07. A few 5 post, spare account types have told me over the years that I'm full of it re that name before, that I am actually a Kobe hater and blah blah blah. I came up with the account name in 2 secs, I didn't ponder for days a perfectly-encapsulating nym that would last for all times. Those peeps were more intense with their Kobe hater detection a decade or more ago, tho. It's not nearly as bad now, not even close, but the arrows visavis Kobe's play and shot selection and what have you were flyin back in 2007ish. That was back when you had a Sky and a wolfpaclaker responding to each other 50x in a thread over a topic. When we got good again and he won two more titles, it kinda calmed down for awhile until Drew's short lived ascendance. Then the Drew Wars began.
